That's pretty much everything the guy told me too. They were actually a really nice group of guys -- if they weren't so busy I wish I could've hung out with them and talked more but I needed to get out and buy more stuff  . I'm glad to see that we're all getting a little bit of information and consolidating it here.

 

I sold Quantron, but plan to pick these up one by one, especially if the other limbs will be less then Ripper. I plan for WB to be my Computron, so getting these in another color scheme is fine.

 

They likely won't be. But the overall cost for all 5 should at least end up around 20 dollars cheaper than Quantron unless hungurr metalstorm ends up priced at 160+ or the remaining limbs end up at 70+ which is a possibility.

 

The limbs won't be cheaper but the shipping should be. The thing that scares me (being someone that lives in the US) is the shipping for the core bot with the giftset packaging.

 

This is what I meant. I tend to think of price shipped as the cost rather then the figure price.

 

Well, the 2 week anniversary of me first emailing Maketoys asking after my Ripper went by a couple of days ago, still not having been replied to (which is just rude). The mythical parcel has been somewhere between Hong Kong & the UK for over a month now. I'm done, so have opened a case to get a refund via PayPal. Such a shame that dealing direct with a toy company whose products I adore has sucked every ounce of enthusiasm I had for this concept.

 

That really sucks man, my Hexatron took about 6-7 weeks to arrive from HK last year and I have no idea why. Sometimes packages just get lost (and apparently hk mail services can be notoriously bad sometimes) and end up sitting around in some warehouse for weeks on end. Its really stupid. Hopefully he gets to you eventually.

I'm still amazed they replied to you, let alone sent you out a replacement!  

 

I don't think the prices will necessarily be less (besides Metalstorm for obvious reasons) but they're trying to figure out how to cut the fat, so to speak, out of the high shipping price they used for Ripper.

I'm a little concerned how the giftset box is going to be handled assuming it will be comparable to the Quantron box, but they didn't specify which limb would include it so we'll just have to wait and see  

 

The earlier post says the core bot, so MetalStorm will (which is the obvious one to include the large packaging IMO)

Three of these in formation would look extreme. Alt mode is pretty cool, and I love the translucent purple. Was the std one also see-thru and did anyone get three?

 

On the std one the translucent parts are orange, but yeah.

 

Any idea when the next figure is coming out ?

 

Based on the recent release of quantron and ripper , as well as the pending release of utopia and nemesis.. I'm guessing we will see the next preorder announcement sometime in January or February and probably get our next figure after cny
