I transformed my I-Gear Faith Leader from vehicle mode to robot mode once. My toys rarely give me the impression of conveying messages to me... but that sucker was loud and clear; "you ever touch me again, and I explode into a million pieces" He is now, for all intents and purposes, an action master. A dusty action master.
Vangelus, here is an interesting bit of Magic history. Five years ago an exploring/adventuring themed set named Zendikar was released. It was about braving hostile terrain and traps to get "priceless treasures". "Priceless Treasures" was their huge catchphrase for the release. What no one knew until they started opening packs was WotC was slipping into the packs cards like Black Lotus, the Mox artifacts, and other most expensive and rare old cards in the game. Like one in every 20 boxes. Not reprints either, original printings they had laying around. People refused to believe it when reports started coming in either, for a long time no one believed it could possibly be true. There was a long running joke in the community that "Wizards could put hundred dollar bills in packs and people would complain about how they were folded" and now they were actually doing it An idea of the prices for Alpha/Beta printings of these cards Black Lotus - $20,000 Ancestral Recall - $3,000-$5,000 Time Walk - $3,000-$4,000 Mox Diamond/Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald/Jet - $2,500-$3,500 Timetwister - $1,500-$2,000 Dual Lands - $1,400 Library of Alexandria - $400
Back in the 90's I collected and even early 2000's I had the complete ice age, urzas legacy, saga and complete alpha set. I sold them all for about 2k back like 10 year ago.
Funny enough, the first Kreon blind bag I ever opened had a Black Arachnia in it. i also had a Seawing at one point, but I ended up selling my entire Kreo collect on ebay a while back. And besides the Alternators Grimlock I mentioned (a promise is a promise! even to yourself!), I still haven't transformed my Scoria back into dino mode past the first day I got him. I dunno why either, it wasn't difficult or anything.
it's not just you guys i got the impossible toys glypher and tapper and i like em for what they are. i got them on clearance though they were not worth whatever the original prices were $30? $40? but i like em too so there's like four or five of us.
