Yeah, it was designed in a ridiculously small time-frame, and I suppose it came out well considering.

 

I mentioned the die cast Reflector in my review but mentioned that it was an Asia Exclusive. I confirmed with BBTS that their orders will ship with the Reflector accessory. Not sure about other reetailers, but BBTS is including it for sure.

 

There's an Ebay Auction up for the Gold Mp Megatron up... $199 looks like its with the Reflector.

Honestly I've always thought MP Megatron looked awful from the get go.

 

As i indicated in my review, it was made possible by BBTS. They said they got some samples in and emailed me asking if i'd like to review it. It was a good way for me to revisit the figure since so many people had asked me to redo my old MP-05 review, so i said yes

 

If you guys think about. MP-05 is a great toy. I take my time, and have him transformed in 5 minutes or so. His tranformation in a lot of ways are like his G1 counter part.

Most don't like him because they say he breaks easy. But guys, come on. It is a toy, collectible or not. So in that alone means you have to be careful with it. Yes, he is a bit big compared to the new size of the figures. But he is still an awesome toy, I display him with my MP-04 on my top shelf. It is just him and Prime up there, and they look awesome together. And with how fast they had to make him, I think TT came through.

It would be awesome to make a new one to go with the new line/size of the MP's. But there is a lot of gun laws they have to work with now. I know one way they got around it was to make the gun way over sized. So seeing as we want him small any ways, maybe they could make the gun form itself much smaller to get around the laws again. But either way I love my original MP-05. The gold is okay, but meh, silver all the way for me.

In-hand it looks tacky to me - it looks like it's painted rather than chromed. I'm glad there's another chance for people who want MP-05 to get him new, and those who would like a blinged-up version, but I'm happy to wait and see  

 

Have gun laws changed in Japan? They're releasing MP-05 as is, so I don't see how there'd be any issue with a new mold. TT isn't designing him for a US release so US laws don't matter.

 

It looks okay, but it's best not to touch it (like a all other MP Megatrons).

 

Looks like BBTS has these in stock for those interested....

 

Now if only they would sell the reflector seperatly.
