Would like to see a shot of this prototype next to mp10 with legs close together. Wondering if there is a noticeable size difference. To hard to tell from these photos. Prototype looks really good though. Never opened my x transbot figures yet but I will now since everyone says the qc is not great so I can see what people are saying for myself.

They seem to be improving, though. I hope they are because I just pre-ordered two KFC-Transbot figs in the last couple days. Blaster looked great at TFcon and Megs looked like a solid prototype and is priced right.

I don't know if this was asked yet but do we know if this will come with an orange plug? Or does that depend on where you buy it from?

Oh, I agree. I'm just saying that I will need to see reviews of any of their figures before purchase.

DAI Stack and Transistor are both big steps up in quality....especially Transistor. If this upward curve keeps going and these two companies are heavily linked as I've read then the spots of diecast on Megs are a big step in the right direction again. Thing is even if Megs is brilliant quality ppl will still throw old products as excuses not to buy it.

I do think this is do or die time for Xtb though. If this is shit quality I can't see them recovering and I'm sure they know this.

A few retailers have mentioned on their preorders that he will indeed have a plug. No word on if it's removable though. With MP05, were the installed plugs easily removable? I'd assume it would be the same as that.

No mention of orange plugs at Robotkingdom... if anyone is in the know if they will receive their supply without, please do share. I have sent them a message and will post here if I get a reply.

Any american retailer will have at least one orange plug. BBTS has said 2 orange plugs (gun and sniper barrel)... Importing without plug is VERY risky.

Most plugs pop right out... and if they don't, they can still be removed or repainted with minimal effort. A friend bought Hegemon from a place that glued in the orange cap with super adhesive... took him an hour of careful whittling, but he finally managed to get it off, and with a little fine sanding, you never could tell it was ever on...

Ugh...I think i'm gonna wait and see if anyone who does get this, has QC issues. Otherwise, he looks great to me.

I swore I'd never buy a 3rd party masterpiece-sized figure, because that just opens up a huge rabbit hole of spending...but since it's unknown if we'll get a Megs V2 from Takara...I will look at this closely.

I got Hegemon from Robotkingdom. He came with an orange plug but the thing was on so loosely it actually came off while in packaging. I found it rumbling around the bottom of the box.

Can you please tell us more about the orange plugs? Are they put on by the manufacturer or do you have to open all the boxes and put them on yourself?

they will have the plug on from the manufacturer:

**As per USA law, all gun like toys must be using plastic orange /yellow plug in the gun barrel to differencitate from a real gun. this product also have two gun barrel plugs : one in the gun barrel , another one in the silencer. also the package will be robot mode , wont' show gun mode in the package .

Of the fairly easily removed variety, I hope? In other words, you're not the retailer using super glue in webz example above, are you?

*Never mind...just saw that you're not the one doing the plugs so it'll be what it's going to be for everyone...at least in the US.

Here's a question we already know this guy looks great and we presume he will be well painted, but will the ratchet joints, gears, and articulation match that of MP-10? I think that is a very important factor

Why is it US law to have orange plugs in toy guns?

If its some safety thing, it's a law heavily loaded with irony!

It's due to events in the past where water guns, that looked real, were mistaken for real guns in the Police eyes. As such, all toy guns in the US need to be painted in odd colors to make it clear they are not real weapons. The orange plug is the bare minimum.

So the fusion cannon connects with a sole, round peg on his arm. Not a fan of that. If there was one thing MP05 did right, it was the sliding connection for the fusion cannon so that it didn't rotate around. The ability to let it rotate isn't bad, but a peg like that could easily get very loose.
