Ares was looking so cool, I got really pumped for this version of Defensor, but it's a definite pass now.

 

Well, people were asking for a full combined mode pic.

 

I'll wait for finished color pictures of the combined mode (and in the traditional G1 limb configuration) before dismissing this project altogether.

 

I was going to buy Hydrant on the release date. Now I'm going to hold off on him and the last two limbs until further notice.

 

I agree with the "wait n' see" approach, but I don't think any amount of color would make their reveal look any better. That thing looks hideous and bloated--can an upgrade kit the appearance without the use of additional members?

I used to think their Groove would look out of place, but that reveal pic makes him look pretty damn good! First Aid makes a terrible leg, well, their's anyway.

no dedicated combiner elbow??? that was one of the most impressive engineering aspects of ares and this guy does not have it

yeah this will be the first TFC combiner i pass on sadly

Robo has FirstAid listed, set for December release: TFC Toys Prometheus -Redcross aka First Aid. Preorder. Available in December 2014. his name is also now RedCross it seems. Hoping they get Blades out in January or at least before cny.

 

I have Gumball and it's ok as a standalone Carbot (not a big fan of the shoulders) but that is as far in as I go with this one. Just awful looking.

Herc is the only TFC Bot I've kept and with this ......thing TFC's losing streak is unbroken.

 

Could they have picked a more unflattering picture? I hope for the sake of the people invested in this already that it actually is scramble city and TFC didn't just give up on First Aid's arm mode.

I think they both look pretty good. The individual figures are all decent and I did some further tests with Gumball and Warning as legs and managed to get them a bit more stable so I think so long as Prometheus' main hips are as tight as nemeans and his outer hips aren't weak he should stand much better than Ares, especially with him not having to deal with as much weight.

I'm afraid to ask this, but why does First Aid have nipple clamps?

 

He turns into an ambulance. What exactly are you expecting? Ambulances are pretty much big people-carrying boxes that have a slopey end because windshields or something.
