So, other retailers should have her in a week or two. Good to know.

Well, me and Lazy got a shipping notice recently, in my case yesterday, but since I use the cheapest shipping, the tracking number is not useful till it reaches our country, so all I really know is a tracking number has been created and given to me, and not if it is really at the post office or left, but if this is anything like Tigris and Talon, I may just get it in hands in 1 week (max 2 weeks, but could even be 4 days).

For some of the others, I will try to get locally, I need to save up.

If this ends up being lancer or greenlight and costs around $60, I would be extremely grateful if someone would pick up one for me assuming it isn't one per customer. I'm totally, honestly, seriously good for it. Anyone nice enough to consider this please pm me once we know more.

It'll probably end up being 90-100 dollars. Especially if the regular retail version is $60.

If it's that much I'm not interested. $80 max.

I'm not going to collect this line if they're going to keep this shit up. The first was okay because I didn't really like it but they're doing it again? Look how many of the first exclusive ended up in scalpers hands on ebay. Around $250 for a deluxe size figure? Judging from the completed listings there's a scary amount of insane people out there.

I think the shadow one was like 70$ at the show in Singapore.

    @ Lucas,
Consider the costs that whomever is going to pick this up will have to incur, and compensate for it accordingly, especially for someone who doesn't know you. For example,
    - There is an entrance fee.
    - There is the hassle of withdrawing more money or using some of it for this purchase
    - The effort of doing this for you
    - Boxing it up and getting it ready for shipping
    - Shipping costs (I am guessing you are in the states, which should be fine, but if you were international, it can get costly and a hassle for someone who doesn't do this on a regular basis)
    - Risk that you wont pay for it when they have it in hand, and having the hassle of trying to sell it when they don't want to.

Hope you find someone or a friend that can do it at cost for you, because otherwise, it can get ugly price wise. Me, I see no hope for me, it just gonna add up so much, and although I certainly understand the very high costs for someone who isn't attending the show or has a friend there, I just cant justify it, not even for the Shadow one that I found to be the ultimate of all color schemes, and not even at 120$ when BBTS eventually gets it, when I can get 2 for that price!!!

I wish they were more clear about what exactly this exclusive was going to look like. Even if the boxart didn't really fully show what Shadow Assassin was going to look like in detail, it at least gave you a good idea. Doing a preview like this is almost the worst of both worlds :lol  -- especially if you're pretty much passing on the normal green repaint of this mold (which is the boat I'm on)

The thing I can't wrap my head around is the fact that these aren't even official releases. They're basically mass produced fan customs. I can understand people trying to invest in Botcon or SDCC exclusives. A lot of those go up in price so it makes some sense. Still a gamble but a lot do go up in value. But why are they paying so much for these? Will these hold their value? Will they still be highly sought after 10 or 20 years down the road? When all the older fans die off will anybody still be obsessed with Transformers without the nostalgia sucking them in?

And why not just buy the regular $60 release & repaint it to match these exclusives? Is it really going to matter if you own the actual version or a repainted version? For display purposes a repaint should be good enough. The only people that "NEED" the actual exclusive are scalpers. The rest of us could buy around 4 of the regular $60 releases for the price of one of these. And if you can't paint or customize just watch some Youtube videos & learn. Doesn't take long. These aren't official Hasbro or Takara so why care if it's just a repaint?

I've been trying to read the description on the front and I can only somewhat make out what the first sentence says. Seems to me like it says "Blue is the new pink."

That doesn't really match the green box but that first word is definitely not green.

I personally do repaints on my cheap 15$ Hasbro Femmebots, and buy multiples for this reason, and love doing it too. But with a 60$ 3rd party TF, with expensive shipping additional costs, I personally don't want to.

Some do see exclusives as a way to make money a few months down the line, but others truly want the figure because they love the color schemes and don't care about resell, such as myself and others like Zavien too. Thus we get frustrated at these recent exclusives, which we wont pay the very expensive prices as we cant attend the show.

If anyone can share with me the business aspect of these exclusives and why it just became so hot to do this recently, vs delaying regular release fig for it, and frustrating some of their fandom that cant attend the shows.

I don't understand why MMC is putting on these exclusives and delaying putting out the normal versions. It just doesn't make any sense. 95% of people can't go to the conventions to get them and the only way we could get them is to pay a super high price. I think it's a poor business practice on MMC's part, but that's just my opinion.

Because they're making money fast off convention pieces.... Why not make an exclusive repaint real quick for a few cons while your producing the regular versions that most people are already invested in

It's greenlight only because Lancer is not even close to this mold. And because they said there were only 2 possibilitys. Anyone want to pick one up for me :)

They have the exclusive repaints all ready to go but not the regular releases? Doesn't that take months of planning ahead?
