Yes I know he died and I was upset about it. Where I want to get at is, let's say Ironhide never died in DOTM outside of NEST HQ, you think he would of made a difference in the Battle Of Chicago? You think Cemetary Wind would of hunted him down and kill him or he would of succeeded in escaping CW

I think he would've suceeded since he's one of the stronger Autobots

Ironhide's a big guy. He might have made a difference in the Battle of Chicago, that is if Michael Bay granted him screen-time.

They could have compared cannon sizes.

Nah. AOE would still be a new(ish) beginning. They'd probably have shown him get hunted down by CW and Lockdown instead of Leadfoot (though maybe switch the scenes with Ratchet).

if he lived, he would have had to die in chicago because there is NO way he would stand for being held prisoner like the others.

Ironhide didn't seem to have a problem with killing humans as per his quote in the first movie; CW wouldn't stand a chance.

He certainly would've given the Autobots their much needed heavy hitter. The Autobots lost that vital asset when he died, and it took the three Wreckers to come close to filling the "big guy" spot Ironhide vacated.

He also certainly would've ensured Hound and the gang were never in such dire straits during the Hong Kong battle.

I have to say, it'd be interesting to have a dynamic between the new and old Autobots; like seeing Ironhide or Ratchet, two decent team guys, reacting to Hound and Crosshairs' loner attitude or boisterousness. Though we did already have that with Cade's interactions with Crosshairs I guess.

I liked the third movie but hated Ironhide's death I always felt they should have killed someone like those silly twins in place of Ironhide. However for the plot line of the movie it was needed because Ironhide was Optimus' heavy hitter and also his body guard so it would track he would kill Ironhide first.

The Twins were planned to be killed by Sentinel like seconds later (after having a much smaller role in DOTM as it is), but Bay decided to just cut the cord and not bring them back at all.

The thing with Ironhide he would of never plead mercy and begged for his life. He would of been like " Screw you, you humans, if I am going down, you're going down with me"

Had Ironhide lived I think his death would've been bigger than Ratchets in AOE, in Chicago however it probably would've made a difference. He'd go down swinging and that's the important thing. Yet I think Ironhide would've made it and given us insight on what happen to Lenox and Epps

They missed a golden opportunity to have him appear either with Ratchet or with the AOE team at some point after coming out of hiding and while fighting Lockdown or Galvatron later on, he could've been killed and either of them could've said "Such heroic nonsense," right before killing him. Not only would that be an excellent reference, but it would've been a better fall for the badass.

When CW and Lockdown hunt Ironhide "You dare point a gun at me? You want a piece of me? I will tear you apart!!!" After taking care of CW and Lockdown "Class dismissed"
