Well taht really wouldn't have worked, IDW and Armada Megatron both turned in to tanks while G1/IDW Jetfire and Armada Jetfire have different alt. modes a jet and a space shuttle.

Yeah I'm interested to see the scale too.

No, he's a big cargo plane. It really wouldn't work.

Looks like all I'll be picking up from the mainline this year is Superion and Menasor.

Not a big $45 IDW figure certainly.

I similarly passed on ROTF Leader Starscream when I could have gotten him for $25 at Marshall's. The price and engineering were excellent, but it was still a big figure based on a design I didn't like. I also have very limited space, so I have to really like a large figure to justify the room it needs.

Leader class redecos are almost always on my skip list anyway. The IDW connection just moves the decision from "Not worth it" to "No way in h*ll!" Doing a different character is a much better way of marketing the redeco than "Galaxy Force Cybertron Optimus Prime", but in this particular case it actually makes me want the figure less.

Since Thundercracker has been done more economically, and IMO better already, this is an easy pass. While Leader class is a more appropriate scale for jets than Deluxe, its also a relatively large hit on the wallet.

Since its long-established that I'm no fan of IDW or figures based on that franchise, why would I spend $45 and the space needed to store him to support that direction? It makes no sense, not when there's stuff I actually like such as Armada Megatron on the way that would be a better use of my money and space.

TL;DR version: Its a large, expensive redeco rooted in a franchise I hate. There's absolutely no reason for me to buy it.

Probably a necessity. Looks like Alpha Bravo will be repainted into Vortex going by his appearance. And maybe Offroad will be repainted into Swindle?

So, will leader Thundercracker be a TRU exclusive or regular release?

I think motormaster looks fantastic, optimus prime looks better than initial pics showed.
And this could just be wishful thinking, but I would like to see that combiner optimus being repainted white and integrating his combiner ports somehow for ultra magnus armor that would transform into his car carrier similar to how g1 ultra magnus was. I suppose the armor would have to parts-form, but as long as it functions well and looks great, that wouldn't bother me. It would not technically be a combiner so a 2015 release is not likely but 2016 may have a different theme.

Unless the trailer that can break down into armor and repainted voyager prime as Magnus are one of the leader figures for next year, then the combined form is Ultra Magnus

Just a thought. We know what most of the deluxes and voyagers will be next year but just a few of the leaders. Forgot if Hasbro stated how many leaders would be out next year.
