this. I just dont get it as to blind judgement made by fans even before the toys are out!

I am way ahead of all of you since I judge toys before they are even conceived.

And the drawing boards in which they are first designed are probably shoddy, too.

I was watching some videos from old G1 headmaster toys and I must say:

1-) Hasbro's Generations Brainstorm is really inspired by the G1 toy. It is truly an updated version of the original version. The only thing missing is the tech spec gimmick (at least so far I couldn't see that gimmick anywhere in the new toy)(obs: it DOES have the tech spec, but I am not sure if it is just a sticker inside the cockpit). The fact that the toy has a simple transformation just makes it closer to that past. Fansproject's version (Smart Robin) is more appealing in terms of the engineering applied in the toy, but Hasbro's version wins in terms of bringing back that G1 feeling. I think both versions are good, they just have different appeals, I wouldn't mind having both versions actually. I will definitely get the Hasbro version for sure.

    2-) Among the G1 headmaster toys, the closest to Brainstorm in terms of overall appearance and transformation is Mindwipe. I have high hopes that Hasbro will bring Mindwipe as a repaint/retool of this Brainstorm. That would be fantastic! =}

    Just to bring some memories:

    G1 Brainstorm
    G1 Mindwipe

I REALLY just hope that Hasbro will make a bat mode with good neck articulation so that we can have great flying poses.

This figure looks amazing, especially with the headmaster.

Here is a question. The product packaging clearly states 2014. So we'll be getting the storm of brains this year.

    August - Jetfire (Ldr)
    August - Windblade wave (dlx)
    October - Arcee wave (dlx)

Is Brainstorm going to be in September?

I am also guessing that we'll likely see Leader Megatron and Voyager Prime this year too then.

    Any thoughts?

The official Transformer Facebook page said Megatron is a 2015 release, but I hope he comes out early.

The release dates are typically a few months before the Hasbro dates.

That's why I'm hoping to see Megatron by Xmas.

Do you really think those dates are ever accurate?

Also, it looks great to me I don't see how people can complain about a toy they don't have either, there are only so many ways you can make something transform.

I just said those dates are usually just guides and typically you see the actual figures release a few months earlier.

As for complaining. Yep there's so much of it.

Either blind hatred towards the movie, or Hasbro or even each other.

Looks great! This will actually be my very first Headmaster. I got out of toys for a few years back in '87, and I missed out on all of the later years of Transformers. I think this is a pretty great first stab at it. Brainstorm looks really terrific.
