So you... considered a word that wasn't even said in place of another word that was actually stated and then called it a "loop hole" and then... you sort of filled in the blanks anyway?

"Do you have an extra GOTO 10 Line command?"

no . Brains also referred to KSI as downloading decepticon minds into the KSI drones....and one of the autobots asked if Brains was going to tell them that their drone plan wouldn't work...and Brains said that when you're on "deathrow" your outlook on things change....

So there are multiple sources referring to them as decepticons....

If the plan didn't work, then how are they Decepticons again?

Point is though, brother does not equate to "Decepticon." Not even in this scenario.

And even then, this is just one source.

Considering Galvatron's "brothers" to be Decepticons is reasonable enough.

He granted them sentience and they follow his orders, after all.

But shitting on Bay for not giving them the symbol of the faction they're never explicitly referred to as being members of is also pretty out of line.

    Good point!

While we're on the subject, though...I was kinda surprised and disappointed that Galvatron and his KSI-bots never spontaneously manifested their own Decepticon faction symbols to mirror the scene with Optimus earlier in the film.

You can't really see them unless you look at screenshots, but the Trax Vehicons did actually have a KSI logo on their back panels, so its sort of a faction symbol.

But yeah, Galvatron never specifically refers to them as Decepticons, only his brothers. Putting two and two together kind of implies that at that moment they became Decepticons by default.

the other part of AOE that bugs the shit out of me is Optimus Prime...@ the start of AOE he is all shot to shit and barely functional...he mutters something about the autobots being able to fix him....

They later flee cade's property after lockdown missiles the fucking hell out of it....and he scans a new alt form and BAM!

    IT'S A MIRACLE>>>HE"S BRAND NEW!

I think the easiest answer there is that most of his "damage" was just cosmetic camouflage to hide from Cemetary Wind. You know, "evasion mode" and all that. Which is why it all pretty much just blows away like tissue paper when he's ready to get his peacock on and make a grand entrance again for his rallying troops.

So the only MAJOR damage was his nearly-mortal wound to his spark, which Cade was able to patch up and repair. Once THAT was done it was just a matter of minor touch-ups and pulling out all the mortar shells (omfg so ******ed) so he could start healing instead of leaking Energon all over the place from his exposed spark-chamber.

I think those previous Galvatron prototypes were classed as failed as they didn't turn out as KSI expected due to Megatron manipulating all the designs. In the end I think they just went with the Galvatron we see on screen as the design of Galvatron kept turning out the same due to Megatron taking over.

Exactly. I thought that was fairly obvious. The use of a beat up old truck was, cinematically, symbolic of him being damaged but the condition of the truck itself (and thus his appearance in robot mode) was just at surface level.
