Sorry dude, these figures are being released in the "Legends" line, rather than Legends scale class. Brainstorm is a Voyager but Tailgate and Swerve are close to Legends size, I think.

Wait the Legends figures come with Manga? Nice.

While I do like the darker colour schemes, I think Hasbro did a better job with Tailgate when it came to "The Prime Flames", it really helped the vehicle mode pop more.

I think Hasbro's lighter paint works better for Swerve, Tailgate is a bit more original toy accurate.

Brainstorm looks pretty great, I never knew he had the stats hiding in the cockpit when you put the headmaster on him.

    No.
Hasbro's were colored to match the comic. These are colored to match the G1 toys.
    Big difference.

Tailgate and Swerve are so damn dark. But Holy shit, they redecoed his micromaster gun to look like My First Blaster, so what do I care?

Man Brainstorm just looks so incredible. Like, TT's colours are nice, but the MOULD is picture-perfect. WHY isn't he out yet? D:

Just not impressed with what takara has done (not done?) with these. Sticking with the Hasbro releases.

...I feel like in' in some else world Bizarro universe by going with so many of Hasbro's versions these days. I have always been a Takara snob in the past, LOL.

Am I allowed to ask who AE is? Living in the UK, I need all the help I can get finding decent sources for Takara (and even Hasbro) stuff.

Personally, I like TG without his hood flames, even if it's a bit plain. I'd have preferred a more techy, magnetic field or circuit pattern on him if anything. Tho I do wish they would release a white PRiD Cliff retooled and flamed into Prime Windcharger. Maybe with a new head, sans horns.

    Anime-export.com

HLJ (hobbylinkjapan.com) has him up already, I just have other stuff pre-ordered with A-E already. A-E is slightly cheaper but their shipping is a tad higher, so the two companies even out more or less.

Arcee looks fantastic. I've never bought a takara chug figure before, but with Arcee, I may pull the trigger. I'm thinking one for me and one for my daughter.

Well, it's not like I have a choice as to whether I buy the TakaraTomy ones or not. I mean, I DO have a choice, IF I want to spend more and arguably get less for my money. These photos always just tell me what to expect when I end up getting these figures, so I appreciate that. I still wish they'd gone with the browny-orange translucent plastic on Chromia, but the blue still looks better than Hasbro's clear plastic.

i usually dont either because of the prices. to date the only one i have is the classics gun megatron. to me the colors were too great to pass up. but i'm thinking of the brainstorm. the extra paint apps just really make him pop.

Ah! Thanks, will give them a look. I have used HLJ before, so it'll be nice to compare and see which works out better to ship to the UK. :)

I was wondering that as well. Do they much less get American-style comics?
