    Clearly an utter deal-killer.

As I've posted in the past, I agree with you and would be most pleased to accept only one Seacon with the ability to Targetmaster, if by doing so the rest of the team can look and work better in gestalt/alt/bot.

Wantin scramble targetmasters is just another variation of wanting scramble limb-bots. Back in G1, the toys were so simple and expectations so low that engineering a multitude of modes wasn't too difficult. With today's expectations, notwithstanding engineering and design advancements, it's practically certain that something has to give to accommodate more modes. The scramble-city concept is cute, but to me it's a bonus and not a must-have - and certainly not wanted at the expense of the "main" configurations.

TL;DR: Given real-world contraints, I'd rather have a great gestalt, great individual members and one dedicated gun-bot than a bunch of shitty targetmasters and a shitty gestalt with shitty individual guys.

Yeah, keep Overbite as the Targetmaster component/member, and not a limb. Maybe something like Fishbones :p

Yup yup! With G1---gun mode, arm mode, and leg mode were the all the same---only the "plugged-in accessory" differed. That is NOT going to fly nowadays, not with "hollow elbows!" being a mortal sin for a modern combiner...

Something has to give, and eliminating gun-modes for the limbs is the easiest/best solution. Make the gun a gun, and not also an arm/leg.

Really, would one expect Cyclonus' or Triggerhappy's gun to also turn into a combiner limb? Then one shouldn't expect Piranacon's gun to do the same. Making a decent robot-gun is hard enough as it is---see MP-05! Adding in combining mechanics is just--yeesh.

I voted for Fansproject. I know they've never done a combiner, but one thing they DO do well? Color.

The color scheme is one of the defining characteristics of the Seacons, and Fansproject does color really well. I have all of the Function X headmasters, and every single one has fabulous eye popping color.

That's what I want from my Seacons, too.

Since MMC is out, I'm going with either Fansproject or Maketoys, with deluxe limbs and voyager torso.

    I'm expecting TFC though.

MMC needs to make a not-Glacialord, but I'd give it to Maketoys too.

Funny, I just tried this and didn't like the results. The colors do match but Skalor doesn't work for me as a leg (his body doesn't extend as much as Tentakil's since I like to have Piranacon at max height) or Nautilator as an arm (his alt mode legs can't fold back like Seawing's wings).

To be fair, those issues would probably taken care of with updated figures.

Myself as well. I have the TF timelines Seacon boxset with the cool color scheme. I have zero interest in 3rd party Devy but I'm all for the Seacons.

I had that thing on preorder the day they revealed it

Of course I'll spend money on Seacons. And I'll buy the repaint/hopeful remold for Scylla for the BW2 versions
