For Jazz, perhaps Special Ops Jazz, or Stealth Jazz? Or even Cyber Ninja Jazz.

These customs are fantastic, especially love the Beast Megatron!

Yes, I got them at Chula Vista TRU, & more in San Francisco. My full case came from the Philippines, though, and I got the AOE Series 3 Custom Kreons (Dinobots) in Taiwan a few weeks ago.

    Weird Question.

Has anyone tried to make a bat kreon?
Not just Ratbat, but Sonar and Mutant Soundwave.

Want to try and do the Toxitron combiner mentioned in the Allspark Almanac II.

Disney is leaving Mattel for Hasbro. I'm wondering what, if anything, this could mean for Kreo. On the surface, it seems like Hasbro will have a TON of new working capital. However, Disney blocks (Princesses, Cars, Marvel) are made by Lego. If part of the deal is for Hasbro to do all Disney blocks, Kreo would become HUGE, and we can have new sets/Kreons for years to come. The flip side is that Disney says no, we shouldn't be having building blocks competing other than within product lines, and the plug gets pulled on Kreo. Thoughts?

I was thinking something similar when I read that article too but then I started thinking that Lego really doesn't have anything to do with Mattel. I would think that Disney/Marvel would rather go with Lego then Kre-o for their brick products due to the power house that Lego is. I'm starting to think that the same thing happened with the Kre-o Jurassic Park line, not enough juice to hold the licence. My guess is we wont see anything other licences from the Kre-o lines except for Transformers and GI Joe.

Ugh...this TRU BOGO40% off sale is killing me. Usually, BOGO40% off is like a 20% off sale...but without any micro-changers or combiner sets at my TRU, it doesn't pan out. Why? Because almost every other set at my store has a staggered price scheme...so let's say I go with the scorn ($15) and slug ($12) sets...I save less than six bucks on slug. It's something, but it doesn't even add up to 20% off. I could have used it on custom sets...but those translucent helmets kill me.

I ended up using it on extra Sharkticons & Skrapnels. I'm going to the other 4 local TRU's Thursday.

building block toys actually fall under diffrent agreements then action figures and dolls so mattel probably had the action figure licenses but not the building blocks which lego has.

As for the price staggering if u want buy a kreo dnd blind pack and use the 3 dollar off manufacture coupon u get spare parts and 1.50 extra off. As long as the set is 15bucks

I was going to experiment with torso decals. Anyone know what size they shoukd be. 1.55cm x 1.3cm seems a bit too small.

Those who have painted Kreons, did you use a plastic primer? Or did you apply paint directly to the Kreo plastic?

Hi Aikitim, for mine I just sanded the plastic first with a really fine grit sandpaper to give the paint something to hold onto. Wash the pieces too as they can sometimes be a bit oily, I would also sand any factory painted details off too as they can show through the paint. I use Tamiya Acrylic paints and depending on the colour it sometimes needs two layers.

Here are two of my before and afters without primer.

I think sanding is definitely a good idea, but using primer is also a good idea, especially if you'll be repainting an entire piece. Just get some spray primer (Tamiya makes some) for a nice even coat. It'll make the paint stick better, and it'll give you a neutral base so the paint will look more true-to-color without a bunch of coats. It's also possible to get paint-on primer if you want more fine control of what gets primed.
