I don't really like these. The Smart Robin one looks kinda nice, but I hate that Code one. Also, why down-grade your Headmasters by taking away the one thing that makes them special?

I do hope we see some more reveals from Renderform today. I've been hoping for a Prime head for the Thundertron mold for quite some time now. Maybe packed with different weapons for each coloration. A Magnus-style hammer for Thundertron. A Prime-Sword or rifle for Leo. And maybe a rifle for Go/Black Leo, or maybe a piece that'll let you combine his 2 swords into 1 big "Sword of Fury".

 

I'm just not feeling these. I have been wanting upgrades to both of these heads since they were released, but I don't think the IDW style looks good with the FP bodies.

I'd like Headmasters that look more like the original G1 heads/colors (IE: face mask for Brainstorm, orange and grey for Chromedome).

These just don't work for me. I hope someone else is willing to give it a try to upgrade the headmasters.

but the bodies are not even close to IDW… so why would you want IDW heads on them?

 

I think that the Chromedome heads look slick as. The retro one in particular suits the Code body to a tee.

Would have preferred more edges to Brainstorm but from the side the pointy bits are clearly there and the thing is nearly spot on.

 

the same reason some people want to put a G1 style head on evasion prime.. they just like, i guess.

 

I like the look, but think they're too small. They'd look better if they were maybe 10% bigger. The bodies aren't really made for "heroic proportions".

 

These look great but they are not for me. I am old school so headmasters all the way.

but for the fans of the comics these will be a big hit.

 

we actually did a mockup of a TFCC style head.. as you can see it looked much worse on the code body XD

LOL. That Chromedome head is GOOD,...to good! It's so well sculpted with all its dynamic angles and sleek lines that it makes the body by Fans Project look fat.

The head for Brainstorm is spot on IDW. Awesome work, Venksta.  

 

Ascetics aside the basic idea of giving you a new non transforming head basically frees up the original Headmaster to stand in front of the toy.

 

I love these headsculpts, they look beautiful.  

 

I know these new heads will cater to some people's tastes, but to me a headmaster without the headmaster itself, defeats the purpose. I mean that is part of the appeal of those characters.

 

I'm guessing these Heads Don't Transform that kind of takes away from the whole Headmaster thing but they do look cool and if they are cheap I may get them

 

Some of us don't want Headmasters. We just want Brainstorm and/or Chronedome as a transformer, no extra gimmick required.

 

I still keep missing the part where you have to trade the headmaster for the new head... if its in head mode on the bot... what's the difference. Sounds like a bunch of nerds being nerds to me.

Nice sculpts but ultimately these two are displayed with the rest of the headmasters in my collection rather than a lost light lineup so theses don't add anything for me

 

I ordered two heads. I was sent an invoice for $51. Loved the heads but can't do it. $15 for shipping two heads in a padded envelope is just too much. Is this typical for renderform? It's too bad because I'm a real fan of their work.

 

Depends if you chose tracking for shipping. $16 is the cheapest option with tracking to the United States from Canada. Thats what Canada Post charges. If you want the cheaper option with no tracking, its only $4.50. The Check Out page does ask everyone to check the Shipping page on Renderform.com to see what the current rates are, but I find most people ignore this and choose tracking anyways, with out seeing the cost. When I invoice anyone, there is a note about tracking cost and the option to go with a cheaper no-tracking option. I only recommend tracking for large orders.
