I think this mold is better suited in a Voyager class. I'd definitely find it acceptable in that size.

 

There is an abysm between Striker or Jetwing Prime and any Leader Prime of AOE

 

Agreed! I think I may get it for Vehicle display along with the DMK.

 

Great, now I regret buying the original one  , oh well, I guess I'll keep it in vehicle mode and this one in robot mode.

It looks better, but I'll wait for better pics before getting too excited. Sad they fucked up the sheild and made the sword translucent.

This isn't bad. If I didn't already have one I'd do this one. But it's not a huge improvement and of course it just isn't possible to solve the figure's biggest issues with just a remold.

While the kibble isn't accurate, I actually think it looks good on it's own terms.

This figure is a horrible size- he's too small to go with previous figures and to big to go with the rest of the line. I think I actually prefer FE. At least he scales with other stuff.

The optimus below is really the way to go. With a couple very minor mods he's the most screen accurate and in scale with the rest of the line. No, he no longer transforms- but I doubt there will ever be an accurate one that can transform.

 

Yeah, I don't understand the shield. Both have issues, but the one off the first toy seems closer to screen accurate than this is.

 

Even with the remolded parts, I feel the end result is only slightly better than the regular Takara Prime - which has a stellar paintjob already, but is a bit of a shitty mold, in my opinion.

Will be going for the model kit version instead. Not too consered with a truck mode for this design, I'd rather have the most accurate robot mode look.  

 

I'm glad that I didn't go for the original Takara Leader Prime. While this still has the back pack I'm glad that the remolded parts not to mention extra weapons and a removeable faceplate makes this worth importing.

Basically.

The DMK will make an excellent display piece, but I really want something that at least resembles Prime's Western Star body that is, well, a Western Star truck.

 

Now that I look at it, the skirt seems to be remolded too.

 

This gives me hope (again probably unfounded) that takara will remold bumblebee into stinger.

 

Isn't it supposed to have a removable face plate if not I don't want it!
