    THIS ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!

Transformers is fun. If anyone told me they were going to see a Transformers film for the plot I would laugh.

Just because someone likes Bay and thinks he is a good storyteller doesnt make them wrong. It is an opinion. Though you might not agree with it, it isnt wrong and you cant prove that it is.

Shinji Aramaki should adapt the movie designs into traditional 2d animation.

why would you want a guy who had no experience in making live action movies to do this?
well this thread is probably inappropriate to talk about animated Transformers works,

my money bets on Hideo Kojima may be perfect on doing a Transformers movie, dude wants his dream becoming a Hollywood film director, with the Metal Gear & Zone of the Enders mechanical designers doing our warring titular Cybertronian lifeforms

also deep complex plot & characterization, cuz they aren't goddamn soulless Terminators for crying out loud , they are lifeforms with emotions

I still have my doubts about Watanbe directing a TF film (at least a live action one)- although I'd be happy to see him try, I guess.

But I had no idea he had a new series out!!!!

I'll be watching this very soon and I'm sure I'll enjoy it far more than the new TF movie. I love this guy!!!

I suspect you haven't seen enough of the right stuff.

If you're referring to characters in front of vague weird sliding backgrounds, that's a ?30? year old trend that you don't see much of at this point in time. The enormous range in types of stories and even animation styles now used in anime is enormous. It's every bit as varied as the live action film industry in america now.

I dunno, I think it MIGHT work, but everyone has their own opinions on Japanese Animation.

no offense but worst ideas ever...all we're going to see is a bunch of japanese actors screaming and overacting for no reason...

Really? Because this post pretty much proves that you have never watched anything in anime beyond that apparently. Too much shonen probably.

Anime isn't just Giant Robots and Dragon Ball Z y'know.

his mentality is that all Japanese actors are Tommy Wiseau's
& NEVER complained about English actors who did the same thing to the dubbed anime's reacting to spinning toy tops & trading cards

yeah apparently he thinks Speed Racer, Voltron, & Robotech have lazy animation styles......DUH :rolleyes2 , along with what ever Japanese studios that worked with Sunbow for the G1 MTMTE episodes.........
