Well that was awesome. Chromedome and Rewinds reunion was very sweet. Nautica is getting greater by the issue Spoiler Didn't see Brainstorm being a traitor coming, not sure how I feel about that
Awesome book! We'll nitpick it to death, but I find #33 to be some solid MTMTE. It's got a little bit of everything that makes this book work. Does anybody transform in this entire issue?
This issue...I am very happy I know right. Anyone else thinking of this: Deadlock - YouTube Ravage is a perfect cat. I'm sure he and Nautica will become fast friends. I was thinking that because our Rewind was dead/gone, the universe didn't bother taking away new Rewind. I don't know about that briefcase, looks like even the universe doesn't want anything to do with it. These were my favorite parts That's right. What would've stopped Brainstorm? Could it have something to do with him having that .1% spark on our Lost Light? He wouldn't have had it on the 2nd LL and we haven't heard anything about it in a while...
The 0.1% Spark only happened after Overlord though. I don't know, letting people on board that might (and did) kill him seems like a pretty un-Brainstorm thing to do, even if he's been a spy this whole time. But there's still a lot about Brainstorm that's been unanswered, like who tampered with the briefcase in "The Sound of Breaking Glass".
Yep. It's a "Roberts-ism", and that's not a good thing. To me, the worst one was Rung, but the fact he's still doing it is just a further negative against MTMTE.
I wanted to complain. I wanted to hate Roberts for Harry Kim ing us....now all I can do is weep in happiness.
It is not a stretch if you think about Brainstorm being amoral. Brainstorm goes to great extremes to protect his life. I mean the time he faced with death he did anything to protect his life I can believe Brainstrom would betray the Lost Light to continue his life.
Looks like the 50 different layers I created for this to allow for changes weren't necessary. Pretty much spot on except that both ships went BOOM. The traitor reveal was completely left field, More than anything I'm annoyed I now have to reread through everything AGAIN. I have to say on face value that Brainstorm doesn't strike me as the traitor type. He's too much of a coward for that much excitement for one thing, but I also don't peg him as someone who would feel strongly enough about either faction? I like how you can see Megatron think. You don't know exactly what all the thoughts are, but you can see that the experience is not leaving him unchanged. I'd like to see this reciprocated though; as he learns from the Autobots, I want to see them learn from him. Nautica talks down to Rewind - literally - because of his size. That wasn't good. And she talks down to Ravage because of his shape. Even if you put the first encounter down to a misunderstanding, the patting thing is very condescending this issue. I guess Overlord MkII is confirmed dead then? Inks were on and off. I wish there would be a second regular artist on MTMTE so at least where there is no Milne there's consistency. I'm personally a big fan of the two issues Agustin Padilla did and would love to see more by him, but the two styles are fairly different. The reunion really got me. I wasn't expecting a strong emotional reaction, but the silent page was very impactful. Nicely done Having said that... I'm not buying it. Rewind says he crawled inside the Magnus armour after Chromedome died, but he wasn't there when Ravage first looked. PTSD confusion? Likely, but curious. Ultra Magnus and the nanocons happened because of Metroplex when the LL1 approached Theophany. Why was LL2 near Theophany and if they were, why didn't they stop and why didn't anything come of it? And if the nanocons came back to life, why didn't Rodimus? And "power of love"? No.
I feel like it's pretty obvious the reason Brainstorm's faceplate is off at all is because he removed to try and show the DJD he was a Decepticon too, but they didn't care.
They might have done ..... On Rewind's Lost Light. On Our Lost Light a different method was used to cure Magnus (check the dialogue) and thus his secret remainded for another year. On Rewind's Lost Light they found out earlier.
When I saw the face plate, I was hoping that he pulled a Drift, switched sides and used the plate from his chest to hide his identity. That last panel, though. Ugh.
