I agree with all of your comments. The faces on my archer constantly pop off when the head is posed. Getting the hand in the bow was a pain in the ass and his forward leg movement is more limited than I was expecting. However, his ab and waist articulation is amazing! The pull out shoulders work really well too.

Nah, Nintendo will make a Metroid game for the WiiU and that will sell like hot cakes. Just look what Mario Kart did to the WiiU. I can see them using the Gamepad for the visor scanning and such.

Ha! Good stuff those "olden times"...

I've never actually followed the storyline all that closely, so thanks for the great synopsis and thoughts fsfeedback. I could go for a good 3DS Metroid before a Wii U style game. I've often thought that my 3DS just might be my favorite gaming system of all time (and I even started with an atari). I can't wait to move up to an XL version when the "new" models come out in 2015. A new Metroid to go along with it would suit me just fine.

In other news. I am assuming/hoping that since we haven't received any notices yet, that Saber 2.0 will be on time. I've got Archer sitting in my Private Warehouse to ship with MP Wheeljack and it would be nice to get Saber from amiami in the same week (or two).

Except Mario Kart DWARFS the Metroid series in sales.

Game Database, Best Selling Video Games, Game Sales, Million Sellers, Top Selling - VGChartz 100 Million units Mario Kart

    vs

Game Database, Best Selling Video Games, Game Sales, Million Sellers, Top Selling - VGChartz 18 million units (rounding up) Metroid (entire catalog)

Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon are the Nintendo bread and butter. Metroid is simply a niche series that is only even truly popular in the west, and all of that is painful for me to say as a 21 year Metroid fan who's first video game ever was Super Metroid when I was five years old.

Prime one was amazing, and I feel it is the only game in the Prime series to have captured the atmosphere that games like Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion did so well.

Prime two had an interesting world that you could not appreciate cause the dark world was so monotone and ugly. It is the only game I have ever owned that has made me sick while trying to play.

Prime three suffers from one of the worst written endings in the series tied with Other M (okey that may be a bit rough). Still it isn't good.

The best thing the Prime series got was Samus conveyed power with movement alone. If the 6 foot 3 stature and full Chozo armor wasn't enough to tell you don't mess with me then her stance and movement screamed POWERHOUSE.

On the other hand though she controlled so damned slow compared to say Zero Mission, Super Metroid, and Metroid Fusion. All of those were better at showing off that she was a super athlete. In the Metroid Prime series she controls like a row boat in a storm. To be fair though FPS games have come a long way on console since then, so maybe there is hope for a faster FPS style Metroid.

Either way a 3DS title is still the safest bet. More people own the system, and it is a safer bet to go back to a tried and true 2D Metroid game. Also there hasn't been a 2D Metroid since 2004. 3D Metroid had a great run, and it is time to take a break the way 2D had to.

Mario got a nice return to the classic 2D formula with the New Super Mario Bros games, Donkey Kong got a nice return to the classic 2D format thanks to Retro Studios of the Metroid Prime fame. Zelda director Eiji Aonuma has said the new Zelda game is supposed to bring back a similar feel that the original did on the NES. Metroid deserves this too.

since their considering both 2D and 3D options, I think a 2D game on 3DS and a Prime style game on WiiU would be ideal.

They missed out big time by not having a Metroid game on Nintendo 64 while pretty much all their other big name franchises did.

Yep, depowered forms of both Ryuko and Satsuki would be cool to have. But if I had to choose, I'd definitely opt for this one:

Do they usually make figmas of their statues? I guess it depends on the property..but that'd a cool one. I haven't watched that anime yet but everyone seems to like it.

Shimakaze just arrived. Fantastic figure. Unboxing her feels more like unboxing an SOC or model battleship than her moe design would suggest. Every aspect of the figure screams quality and the paint apps appear really good. Her accessories are all separate pieces but everything feels complete. I'll snap a few photos and put them up tomorrow. Its 12:15 am here so I'm out for the night but She's really good - a different unboxing experience than, say, Sailor Moon by SHF. The devil is in the details.

been looking at other figmas to add to my collection so far these have really caught my eye! but from what i see they can get pretty pricey! just want to ask what a fair price would be for them?
    Figma Labrys
    Figma Aigis]
    figma Yukiko Amagi
and also wondering if there are any other figmas you guys would recommend for me to check out!?

Any help will be appreciated and helpful!

I wholeheartedly recommend the MuvLuv figma plugsuit-girls. :D

Also, just check Ami from time to time for figma-sales to get them at around 2700yen and below at A/B or even B/B conditions. You might even get lucky and get figmas at below 2000y A/B conditions...

This. Muv-Luv is an amazing series and the figmas are to die for, however, if you haven't seen the show or played the games then you won't realize how great of a job GS did capturing the badass-ness of each character. Personally, I like....you know what, screw that, I can't choose a favorite between the Muv-Luv women. The only grievance I have is that they didn't make an Inia to go with Cryska. I guess the world wasn't ready for that much cute in a figure. There is a nendoroid however.... *hops over to mandarake*

    Figma Labrys - $50
    Figma Aigis - $35
    figma Yukiko Amagi - $30

But I agree with what Treatment said, every now and then amiami will carry these for about the original (if not lower than) retail price with an A/B+ condition.

That said, Persona's popularity, especially P4, has really exploded so I expect to see the cost of these figures rise.

Also, I'd check out D-Arts Elizabeth too.

Ive bought stuff off amiami before but never preowned lol is there search system hard to navigate? or do i just have to click on preowned and search through what they offer?
wow Labrys i can only seem to find for about 80-110 =[

Wow checked out the MuvLuv figures and completely fell in love with the one in the orange suit and Cryska Barchenowa and Mitsurugi Meiya. are there only 4 in the series?

im keeping an eye out mandarake and ami hoping i can score atleast figma Yukiko Amagi and Labrys as those are the top 2 i want!

Any other figmas you guys recommend?
