I don't know that you even need Galvatron to kill several Autobots before he feels like a big bad. I mean if put a one sided beat down on one of the Autobot like the Hulk put on Loki then Galvatron would look even tougher than if he just shot or stabbed an Autobot. Something where he's so powerful that he could swat away an opponent like Ronan did.
I'm in it for Galvy to look like the shit, but mostly because it will be the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Which is weird because even though he's a formidable fighter, he doesn't really have an actual direction or endgame of any kind which kind of loses points with me.
They where the two worst things about the movie, making Jetfire into a crap old man bot and Prime flying? Whyyyyyyyy
Good to see this thread going and so many people saying what they want to really see, totally agree about the loss in retail. When TF1 came out I had to start collecting transformers again...there is now no way I will buy anything thanks to that hunk of shit 4th movie...I hope they reboot and listen to the fans so they can take my cash when they make a bunch of new toy lines that are true to the universe we have all been attached to in its various forms for he last 20 + years
I'd rather they spent it on the robots they have instead of just bringing in new ones that they'll barely spend any time with and assuming they'll live to see the end of the movie.
Just because you hate the movies doesn't mean you can't stop collecting the toys and we all know the they won't listen to the fans they're doing their own thing you just gotta deal with it.
- He may have flown once or twice in the G1 cartoon (the intro where everybody flies behind the mountain notwithstanding) but generally he was pretty flightless like much of the Autobot group and in G1 they were REALLY inconstent about how actuall should be flying and who shouldn't (since there was Soundwave flying in tape deck mode in another episode). Often he needed to rely on Jet/Skyfire, later Sky Lynx, to provide air transportation, and in the "War Dawn" episode it shows a young Orion Pax taking interest in the Decepticons who have the ability to fly, which Autobots really didn't have. - The only time Optimus could fly and didn't need his super combined modes was cybertron, third in the series, where everybody pretty much flew. He in particular could only fly normally with the bare minimum of attaching his trailer kibble as the backpack wings. - Animated had it as a rule that, outside of specific exceptions like Omega Supreme, Autobots could not fly (I.E. Powerglide is a truck). That's why the jet twins showing up caused such a stir (and their pack-in comic confirms they only gained the ability to fly from research taken from the captured Starscream from the beginning of S2) because they could fly. Optimus himself never flew until the final episodes of the series when he gained the Wingblade armor. Additionally, Movie Prime himself flew in the first three films, but only with extreme help; TFTM - Megatron ROTF - Jetfire('s corpse) DOTM - Trailer So him simply just flying off like it's an innate ability...screws with established fact anyway.
I'm pretty sure there is an episode of animated out there where the Cons fly and the Bots can't and BB is frustrated by this? Can anyone confirm? Anyways ...
I don't hate the movies, the 1st movie got me collecting again like crazy... But FUCK any of the TF4 movie toy/merch... No attachment at all..all vibes killed..
