So Binaltech Skids/Blaster...what's the "hidden" trick to get the chest/backpack sit tight and even?

My Blaster kind of doesn't want the head platform to tab evenly onto the chestpiece tab.

Will also try to perform massive surgery on his legs [open up his right hip completely to try and tighten up the forward/backward joint], looks like I'll need to take the entire thing apart.

I don't remember if I posted my old display here before, but one thing is certain: I miss these shelves.

I do not, however, miss the dust.

This shot is from August 2007. I'm pretty sure I had Alt Rodimus by then, but preferred the KP for display. Alt Smokescreen was replaced by BT-07 because of the shiny. Alt Skids had not yet been replaced with BT-16. I don't remember if I had BT-18 (clear Mirage) by then (or if it was even out), but I was terrified of discoloration so he's sadly lived most of his existence in the box. Which unfortunately didn't save my BT-19 Bluestreak. Along with Argent Meister and Arcee, those came later and never made it into any of my displays. By that time the Alts were being overrun with 25th Anniversary GI Joes, Classics, and Masterpiece, disappearing one by one into storage. Which is just as well for the ones that did, as dusting became such a monumental task that it kept getting put off, which made it worse, so it got put off longer, and... well you get the idea.

These days I have moved, and those handy shelves are long gone. There's a small selection of Alts (and BT Skids) filling out the bottom of my MP Autobot Detolf. One day I'll have the display space to get all of them out at once... behind glass... with little dusting needed. [IMG]

Man these displays with Alt/BTs in their robot modes are tempting me to transform some of mine  . I fell in love with the look of their alt modes though and it would be a little bit of a pain to change out my shelves but I guess we'll see

It'll take a few hours to transform them all, that's for sure. :lol  The upside of all of the Binalt repaints though it's that it's easy to show off both modes of a mold. Be creative!

Regarding BT-17... that's the number one reason I'm glad I went for Alts over BTs. Even the hard-to-find Alts go for peanuts compared to this guy. Does he look better than Alt NP? Sure. But not $500+ better.

SQ7: Get modding some Detolfs man! I find their default setup to be fairly restricting, but I have plans to chain three together at a fraction of a cost of a comparably sized glass enclosure. Of course said plans involve borrowing some people for their tools and workspace... and actually getting off of my butt to do so. [IMG]

@Hellion: If cool, new stuff would come to a halt, I could much easier.

These BT-17 photos make me want a complete set if loose BTs all the more. *sigh*

Sirtoys still has some. That and eBay along with Junkion are pretty much it I think.

checked sirtoys, no streak/ricos sadly. guess junkion it is, as KOs are somehow more pricey than the original alt figures.

With the Streak/Rico mold, you'd be much better off finding an eBay junker lot or someone on Junkion selling. "Knock-off" in Alt/Bt land =/= "cheaper/less money spent". In fact, I've spent more on my BT kos than I have on my authentic Alts.
