That's where I need to give TFC alot of Credit, they have done very well to make their combiners Scramble City style so that they can interchange with each other, I'm hoping MMC and UT do the same, Rex already seems like he's got a system for it, so it could happen. I also think Warbotron is going with that.

I prefer things to be closer to G1 as possible. But I'm not above modifications or updates as long as the homage is clear :)  However, even I can't agree fully that Feral Rex is superior to Ares in any way. Ares has bigger shoulder cannons.....something I wish Feral Rex had instead of the "pea shooters" in comparison. But that's just one thing. There are others like how Predaking was supposed to be the biggest combiner in terms of height at least. I believe Ares wins on that point. But...overall, I'm more happier with MMC's aesthetics and paint apps than I would have been had I gone the Ares route.

This is an Internet forum. There is thus an automatic implied "IMHO" in front of, and after, every sentence every person types.

    Example:
    Thundercracker is the best seeker.
Toy colors are superior to toon colors.
Feral Rex is the best combiner ever.

One shouldn't need to "qualify" everything they say. It's automatically assumed they're stating their own personal opinion.

Well yes, but I should have honestly stated "..in my opinion of course." Something like that.

What I should have said was: I believe the general consensus on the 3P boards here at TFW2005; is that Feral Rex is superior to Ares, *if* basing it on Page views/post numbers/pages alone.

Also in my own personal opinion, plausibly not being as G1 as say, UT's effort, Feral Rex is more than enough G1 with a slight dash of modernization. Not only that, but everything about each individual figure bleeds quality and fine craftsmanship. Not only is this a huge bonus--MMC themselves have such high critical acclaim for customer support and listening to their fans; that it makes Rex THAT much more special.

That I can agree with. My Feral Rex head came with one crooked antenna. It looked warped actually. They replaced it for free :D

sadly warbotron is not scramble city in the true sense. the legs might be interchangeable with other warbotron legs, but the arms can never be legs and legs never arms.

arms have a male combiner port and the legs have female combiner ports.

Should be assumed but often isn't. There are many people out there who assume their opinion is the same as fact. Sometimes a qualifier helps to stop those people from raising discussions to personal attacks. Just my opinion though. See what I did there?

Obviously. This whole response was common knowledge. Maybe you should have read the prior posts. :rolleyes2

My point was HE was calling attention to someone else's post for posting THEIR opinion. Then goes on to do the exact same thing about a different product.

Yeah but just so happens that their scale is very close to that used by Warbotron, Toyworld, Igear and TFC.

A lot of people like to think their scale is closer to FP, MT and PE though.
    (mostly due to aesthetics preferences)

Agree with this. There is no need for crap like "IMO" and most definitely "IMHO" at the end of every post.

As for Abominus, MMC (and any other company) have until UT Blot is out to show us something. Once Troll is out and no other option is available I will be all in on that.

Yeah there are a lot of instances on here of people that view their opinion as equivalent to fact. Some people may view it as not necessary, but sometimes clarifying it helps depending on what is being voiced and how it is being voiced.

No ones is going to see anything till 2015 period. Feral Rex put them behind on many projects. Now MMCs doing the terrorcons, so is Unique Toys. Companies copy catting each other is getting very dull...I hope someone would the king Poseidon ( piranacons). But every company wants to do the same combiner over and over again....Would like to see what MMC does.

    Don't forget Fansproject.

MMC is busy in Singapore. Give them time to return from an incredible weekend of reveals and advertising to address the competition.

You're surprised? Many of us expected it the instant UT revealed their Not-Abominus/Blot. We knew it was coming and I eagerly await it.

Who else is working on Bruticus atm? None but WB. Computron wars is only between WB and MT. And WB hasn't shown anything solid for their Menasor, so they are currently out on that one.

    Share! Damn you! :lol

It's about time you came out of hiding, hehe
