I recently bought myself a g1 overlord off of eBay. The condition is superb. Not a flaw on him. He is missing stickers, instructions and missiles but that's it. I am concerned I bought a knock off. Are there any experts that can help me figure out if it is or not? I will try to take as many pictures as possible. Thanks so much in advance.

Your fine. I own a few Overlord KOs and none of them have a copyright stamp. Also most of them have the colors wrong. The one that does have the colors correct (for the most part) has a darker gray, and has no copyright stamp. Also the plastic feels more brittle. Finally the Godmasters/Powermaster were not chromed.

Thanks DoubleClouder, that makes me feel a lot better. It seemed too nice to be 26 years old XD.

That's a nice piece, I got a bit spoiled picking a boxed one up in the late 90s. I really should put his knees on.

It was $527 with shipping. I think it was a steal.

    Real deal !

Most knock off power masters will not activate once inserted . no clips . no springs . no nothing . just a place to insert . another thing is the plastic is really light weight (el cheapo) ! Takara 1988 is the best thing you have going for you !

Looks very legit to me. Nice and minty too: great looking chrome on Giga and Mega. Reprolabels has great replacement stickers for Overlord, by the way. Well worth it.
