    I'd be shocked if he was smaller!

    Jetfire Leader
    Silverbolt Ultra

    Sizes may have shrunk but not that much

    Chest paint stripes extend farther, some small black paint apps on the shins/knee area, and red stripes along the edge above his foot. Red plastic weapons/thrusters instead of chrome.

    @Ricky and Rockdown.

    Guys! Thanks so much for those comparison pics (and to Cheebs for the brightening :D ). I was also actually curious about how he stood next to the ultras. Looks perfect! That was my only qualm about Classics Jetfire.

    Really hope that one day Astrotrain will also be revisited an get a larger figure too.

    Leader AstroTrain would be incredible in this size..but I would hope he would still be a Steam Locomotive in a way.

    Jetfire » Mecha Guignol

    If you’re familiar with the Classics toy, this guy seems to be specifically designed to one-up it. There’s just too many little things that seem to be arbitrary, unless you take that into account.

    From the hips and lower body in general, to tolerances and where stuff tabs in during transformation and even to how the arms are inverted into the body rather than left hanging in vehicle mode, Leader Jetfire feels very much like the designer is specifically targeting all the pet peeves of the Classics Voyager version.

    No shit! Well that's just bananas! Usually as we grow bigger the toys we had as kids we thought were ginormous, but they weren't after all... I guess this is a strange case of the opposite for me! I remember him being big, but not that big! Assuming LC Jetfire is at least as big as the current movie leaders? I don't have MP-10 to compare to.

    i was surprised too between JF, whirl and RB, they were all consistently smaller (slightly) than their old version. i think its just the modern practice of keeping toys to a compact size for packaging and display purposes. keep in mind that these are all packaged in robot mode, whereas the old version came in in their alt mode.

    Well, he's not. There's been numerous photos of him with Ultra Class Silverbolt, and he's not only taller, but has more kibble and bulk.
