Ebay sucks! At least 6 people told me they had reported the auction... ebay did nothing. The auction would have gone until completion. (When i pressed them as to why, they said they have a back log of those type reports) But let me post a prototype auction mentioning that was giving the 100% of the proceeds for the medical expenses of little girl's heart operation and eBay sends me 2 emails about violating their "Terms of Service." Good thing they have their priorities in order: little girls medical expenses = a violation obvious con man scamming buyers = okay.
I noticed that auction too. I actually bought the Big Powered from the legit seller those images were stolen from, and reported the fraud as well.
Wait, did your Fund Raiser auction get canned by eBay!?!? seriously!? I liked your approach to having your images and bandwidth stolen. I must say I'm not surprised they have a back log, there must be a hell of a lot of people out there with scam sales and accounts. A bunch of collectors got done last year buy a seller with a good amount of positive feedback who all of a sudden went from selling legit items to sending a santa hat instead of well priced expensive transformers. The account went dormant after the first few negative feedbacks started coming in.
Wow that's hilarious. Highprime - Very glad to see someone on these very boards come away with that grail. I had the thought in the back of my mind that Hasbro bought it to make there own "will it blend" video.
I change my mind on what I said about keeping it MISB. I mean even if it's the simplest thing in life. Drinking tea from a cup. Opening a present. Playing with a toy. You deserve it. Enjoy man. I guess I should have asked this question about each item that was released, but I figured the multiple auctions were on there way The big dump has begun...
Yesterday I met The Toy Hunter Jordan who informed me that he as well owns Five Sealed Bagged Sets (5X) of G2 Menasor. Last month I also met James Regulas from Chicago who owns two full sets of G2 Menasor (one loose, one sealed). Just before that I witnessed this G2 Menasor sell on ebay. That's eight sets already right there. Earlier in the year, I also found someone posted a photoshoot on TFW about their loose complete G2 Menasor. And on google I found one other older set of photos from an tf archive site. So there are definitely ten sets or more of these in existence! (But one missing face mask unfortunately).
I asked Jordan about the menasor face mask as well. He confirmed all five sets are 100% complete sealed in bag with the gestalt masks. Looks like he is avid on Transformers too and must have gotten first pick on everything. He said he had to leave behind a few items since the widow mentioned another collector was in talks with her for a year. Wanted to be semi-fair I suppose.
Wow, that kinda sux for the buyer of this auction if true. I don't know why he wouldn't show one of those G2 Menasor on the show though, that would have been a bigger find than that Lucky Draw he showcased on that episode.
I guess the episode filmed before the infamous auction occurred so there was no telling of its value as sealed until after it happened. Lucky draw colors are more glitzy so I guess it's better to put on a show for the mass viewers. Jordan mentioned he values his complete sealed sets at $30k each (since they are complete w/ face masks). That's $150k total. He is not letting then go anytime soon.
He can value them at 30k all he wants, will they sell for 30k ea now that its known 7 more of these are floating around? Doubt it.
I know he has had a few valuable toys on there, transformers included, but you would think those items from the widow would make it on tv. I'd rather see a $25-30k transformer than a $40 my little flaming pony.
