I know, right? The nerve of Hasbro's employees wanting to eat.

    Pffftt...

Oh come on now, don't tell me there is no other more creative ways to reuse Optimus Prime molds than what has been done in AOE.. Because we have seen them before.. I mean seriously, even a camo green with rust would have been better than mostly the same toys with or without chrome in the voyager scale for example. The Silver Knight FE is passable as a worthy redeco in my eyes.. But! A white, orange, and red G2 hero prime homage would have been way better at some point as well since it's the right shape for it.

I mean hell's bells you can even do the hidden red chest gimmck to a T with the leader mold and maybe even the cab feet with a change to the knee joint, if the owner has that ability.

I didn't buy the other version, so I might just have to stalk Target for this one.

What's with all the Minnesota love this week? Guess they figured they'd better get product to you guys before it snows. :D

I actually want this thing but not for the price; at $40 I would still buy it as it's still a leader; either way it'll go to clearance and then I won't have any price complaints I'm sure. Up close the thing actually looks nice though; I'm still not sure if the normal AOE would be better as both molds seem to have a lot of flawes (Hasbro really should've just pooled the funds into making one much much better mold).

Honestly I feel this redeco is better than a lot of what we get which are nigh identical versions of the same thing. They could've done something more interesting but as is it's at least not some slightly varied normal Prime color scheme.
Personally I'm still waiting for another Optimus in Armada powerlinx colors ;)

I could really choose not to care about silver Optimus Prime because he never turned silver in the movie. Heck, the Dinobots were silver and I much prefer the original retail versions of the Dinobots' toys

I picked him up yesterday. TBH, I really liked the way he looked in the box. The silver paint they use on him looks nice, as do the bright blue painted eyes. I was pleased by the quality of the plastic they used on him, it feels much more dense than the standard plastic they've been using as of late--his joints are super tight and he's got a decent amount of heft to him.

$60 is a bit steep for him--he really should not cost that much as he's not that much bigger than current leaders and has no electronics. There were only two on the shelf at Target...it's hard to say how distribution will be for this guy, especially after the Beast Fire Predakings clearanced out for $13 at my local Targets.

If he gets that cheap, I'll gladly buy a second one for my desk at work.

Is it bad that one of the reasons I want to get this is just to take that giant sword and give it to a legends class figure?

I saw this in person yesterday; actually looks cool. Just not $60 cool.

I was all set to buy this last night(I love this color scheme), but $60? What the hell was the thought behind that?

After some of the prices I've been paying for third party robots I kind of feel like I got a bargain with this guy.

Yeah but any third party toy is better than this repaint of Hasbro's leader class AoE Optimus Prime

People will buy anything, that much ought to be clear. The inability to discern what is and is not worth $60 will be a drag on the franchise for the rest of us.

You were bashing this figure in the last Platinum Silver Knight thread. And now you're here when clearly you have no interest in the figure and no plans to purchase it.

At this point you're just trolling.
