I can't remember if RID is supposed to be a "sequel" or a spiritual successor to TFP. Regardless, Seeing Miko again would be nice...

Oh, yeah! I would had preferred if we had any idea what her foster parents were like, instead of them being non-entities.

 

It's pretty sad that the best arguement there is for Miko being able to use the Apex armour is "well yeah of course the bad guys are about as competent in battle as cereal."

Not really making a good case for the show.

The developement of the humans was just sad. I especially hate how they introduced Jack's estranged father and then did nothing with it.

Miko was just dog-awful, and practically offensive in her one-track idiocy. Every word out of her mouth felt like a deliberate attempt to annoy.

 

I feel like I could say something about star wars stormtroopers now...but hell, I liked the show and would forward it to my friends.

 

Also, the defense of "well, something else made this mistake" doesn't really help.

Especially when Stormtroopers look like Halo Spartans next to Vehicons.

 

At least Vehicons actually hit Miko's apex armor. Stormtroopers would have shot around it

It's supposed to be the former, looking everything like the latter.

Even Stormtroopers were more effective against the main characters compared to Vehicons. After all, the Rebels did lose Hoth and whenever possible the core group took whatever means were necessary to avoid direct combat with them. And then on Endor they relied on prepared traps and the help of an army of killer teddy bears simply to wear the defense troopers down to force them to surrender.

Vehicons, in comparison, were like the battle droids the clone troopers replaced. The same battle droids that got their asses kicked by Jar Jar Fucking Binks and mainly used by the Trade Federation...whose mothership got blown up eerily similar to how Hardshell bit the dust: a kid in a starfighter pressing buttons and blowing everything up and nobody shoots back. But even then the droids still proved more effective in comparison, going off of how an entire group of Jedi going HALO ODST into the stadium in episode II is required simply to keep the robots at bay long enough to evac the plucky heroes with gunships.

 

Well if we're gonna play it like this then, Vehicons also kicked ass/aft/buttthings when they weren't attacking main characters *cough*cliffjumper*cough*firstepisodewhereArceeandBeegetbeatenupbytwoVehiconsbeforeBulkheadsavestheirasses*cough*

(also Miko probably knew what the blue button did in her defense and as far as I remember, so did Anakin [he did build a racing pod from scratch] and I did see droids shooting at him while he was in said hanger)

 

But that was the first episode, plus Miko hadn't even been introduced at that point so things were actually pretty good. Vehicons should have been that tough through the entire show, they were a LEGIT THREAT. And then later the same trio storms the Nemesis where the presence of vehicons is less than trivial to them.

And the bottom has you assuming things like she knew what the button did. What good is comparing stuff when the facts start including things that may or may not be there?

 

You just proved how incompetant the Vehicons were. Stormtroopers and the Battle Droids were at least consistently portrayed. The Vehicons were first shown to be a threat, only to almost immeditely deteriorate. That's sloppy writing.

Also, Troopers/Droids at least can kill. Their lasers at least do damage, hence why they're somewhat of a threat. Vehicon weapons, by the end of the show, just pinged off Autobot armour.

 

Oh shit. You know what one of those vehicons would have said?

"Impossible! Our laser fire is only making them stronger!"

 

It was great to see Miko of all people knock the shit out of Starscream. Granted that's not a terribly difficult thing to do, but it was great to see an idiot like Starscream who's apparently considered a threat by the show get some much deserved humiliation.

I love Steve Blum but I legitimately feel sorry for him that his talent was wasted on a character who's supposedly a major antagonist but is clearly an absolute fucking joke. The bigger wham of the scene in Chain of Command was that humans could pilot the Apex Armor.

However, lets give Miko (a character I grew to like) some credit: she finally shut Starscream up about Cliffjumper. Finally!

 

I agree vehicons should have been a legit threat consistently, but the same could be said of stormtroopers.

Bear in mind that the entirety of the good guys in TFP are all main characters. As i've said before, stormtroopers and vehicons seem to suddenly power down when they are confronted with such beasts of power. Unlike Star Wars however, the good guys don't have a small army backing them up.

 

"Lord Megatron, it appears our Soldier chassis was given Energon Repair Rays!"

"Well, shit! Knew I shouldn't have trusted the Chinese arm dealers! Wait,can they heal themselves as well?"

"No, sir! Apparently, the arms dealers were saying something about crossing the streams. SIR! "

"Next you tell me, it makes people invincible after enough healing."

"Perhaps, sir! "

 

A ******ed imbecile that must be erased. As well as the people, who tried to rase her- they totally failed.
Or she just has that type of genes that must be stopped before they reproduce.

 

I don't care what she did with the Apex Armour. She is an annoying child with no sense. Why can she just not stay in the base.... Urgh.

 

In fairness, he was up against the Apex Armour, the noob-tube amongst giant robots and the same object that allowed his skinny shit ass to beat the fuck out of the physically superior Optimus and Dreadwing.

 

I remember really, really wanting to see Megatron's face once he found out Starscream lost the Apex Armor to a kid.  

 

It was probably something like
