I'm not saying this isn't fake (quite the contrary). I'm just saying get your facts straight. "It's way too early for a plot" is sufficient as a rebuttal.

And if you're referring to the one letter difference between "misinformation" and "disinformation", get over it and move on - you knew exactly what I was saying, and the smug can be better applied elsewhere. Point still stands that this is NOT "news", and it should be shut down as quickly as every other "just read on" Wiki or IMDB thread is. If all it takes for an "article" to be taken as being possibly serious and/or legit is having a .ca, .com or .co.uk URL extension that isn't a blog, then we've got big problems here with screening.

Could be true. The fact that Unicron has never been related to Optimus in any way will not stop Michael Bay and the stupid from continuing. Usually, unfortunately, these things that seem crazy and impossible at first turn out to be true. And just as terrible as they sound.
True or not, what difference does it really make? The next movie will be poorly written, probably directed by Bay, and make over a Billion dollars for Hasbro and Paramount. Honestly, unless some new producers step in and decide to change things up or until one of these movies bombs bad at the box office, the same crappy formula is going to just be repeated over and over. Yeah, it's sad and depressing to read, but after 4 movies, to expect anything to change would be the dictionary definition of insanity.
If it is true, it would be a nice change in my opinion. Plus, Primus was never a god in the movieverse, so why should Unicron? But, for sake of safety and avoiding dissapointment........*puts up skepticism shield* I'm going to lean towards most likely fake.
The difference in this thread is this article is neither news nor rumor because it is baseless. This thread is not about Bay or anyone's opinion of his directing. It is about an 'article' pulling facts out of nowhere and presenting them as factual.
So how does your post invalidate anything I wrote? It doesn't really matter if a rumor is true or not about the next movie. It's going to follow the same formula as the last 4. Meaning it's going to be a poorly written, directed and edited billion dollar movie. Meaning anything that will or won't be done in the next movie is pointless speculation and not worth arguing over.
It doesn't invalidate your opinion. This thread just isn't the place to share it. This thread concerns a specific article containing information pulled out of thin air. I'm sure they're are a hundred 'I hate Michael Bay and his directing style' threads in the movie forum. Feel free to beat that dead horse over there.
Well, thanks for telling me where to post. I feel so much better that we have guys like you directing conversations here on the boards. It's just too bad that you're so busy directing conversations that you seem to have missed the point of my original post. Let me break it down for you. This rumor, the one you are trying to keep the focus on, it doesn't matter. Let that soak for a moment. Nothing in the next movie as far as plot/story points go will matter. They never have. Getting worked up over ANY rumor about the next movie is a waste of time. It's pointless to care. Get it? And for the record, I don't hate Bay. I actually have most of his movies. It still doesn't change the fact that the TF films are mostly fluffy crap. It's not an opinion, just an honest critique. (Fluffy crap = fun to watch poorly written, directed, and edited film.)
Just tryin to help. And, I'll say again, this thread isn't about any of those things. It's about a crazy ass 'rumor' and it's (lack of) validity. I could go into random threads telling everyone I hate mushrooms on my pizza. And every time I ordered them, I wouldn't like the taste. It wouldn't make that statement any less valid, but it sure wouldn't be appropriate for the discussion.
You seem kinda stuck on this perception that my original post has nothing to do with the rumor of this post. I'm wondering at this point if you have some sort of fixation or if you're just trying to win a pointless argument on the internet. Seriously, it's not that hard to get. This thread is about a rumor that you have dismissed due to timing/origin/validity or whatever. My comment was how this rumor is pointless to worry about due to the nature of how the TF films are made. It's the same rumor being talked about in the same thread. We just took it in two different directions. Now, how does that equate that I'm taking the thread randomly off topic? Just because I didn't follow YOUR point does not invalidate mine nor does it mean that I or any other person here HAVE to follow your dictates. Seriously, get off of your high horse. You don't get to control the topics of a thread you've posted in, no one does except the Mods. So I thank you to follow your own advice and go back to the topic at hand and stop trying to police the thread because at this point you are about as on topic as that Mushroom Pizza you hate so much.
