Definitely not. I think, with the exception of the head sticking up in vehicle mode, the Energon Ironhide toy is pretty cool.

I also liked him in Superlink.

I couldn't stand his annoying Carlos dub voice.

 

What could be next for Cloud??? They still need a Bumblebee to round out the "Big 4"...a Thundercracker to round out the upgraded "Seekers"...a Soundwave to round out the Decepticons "Big 4"...and either a Jazz, Ratchet or Ironhide (along with the previously mentioned Bumblebee) to round out the Autobots "Big 4"...oh and a what about a movie-Decepticon, Scourge or Cyclonus...my mind is racing thinking of where they'd go next...

 

This set is certainly interesting... as it does not really fit in with the previous three G1 sets. I sort of like the idea of Hellwarp though. Ironhide is also cool, but I prefer my FOC Blaster version.

 

I kind of really want that Roadbuster. I love Energon Ironhide.

 

Ah Energon Ironhide. The time I got screwed over by both Hasbro and Takara with the same crappy toy, used for two of my favourite G1 characters, Ironhide and Roadbuster.

This is the first wave where I don't really understand either of the releases. I mean, I *get* them, but they're really big stretches. At least they look neat, but they're definitely out of the left field.

I've said for years that Rhinos would make a great BW Ironhide with the beige skin done in black and the green robot parts in red.

 

Next wave will be Ratchet with holo-medic disk bot from FOC Soundwave vs Soundwave from Generations Brainstorm...

 

Dude, I'm not sure about this, but I'm 99 that these are the last of 8 planned releases for the Transformers Cloud line.

I'd love to be wrong about that.

I'd also *REALLY* like if you were wrong about the need for Bumblebee and more seekers - I've loved that, after Optimus & Megatron & Starscream, this series has struck out a bit further than that. I'd happily leave behind any hope of a Cloud Bumblebee in exchange for Jazz, Scourge or Cyclonus (all G1-inspired, I'd hope), or, as I think was suggested on these boards a while ago, a Rhinox/Torca!

Really, anything but another Bumblebee [that's not a VW!]!

 

It would actually, the main similarity is machine guns. The more I think about it the more I want a Black Rhino that has Movie Ironhides head!

I wouldn't be surprised to be honest, if he doesn't have Scrounge as an accessory FORGET IT!

The best part about this is you can take your favorite color scheme from any robot & put it on any mold & it works. It doesn't have to make any sense. Skywarp was a car in Alternity & now a shark. And it's cool!

Now I want Primus in G2 Ramjet colors.

 

Repaint everything into Breakdown colours.

 

well my line of thinking was the cloud line is where takara does crazy versions of characters with voyager molds. I personally HATE the deluxe Octane we got, what a hideous toy. Octane's face looks like a squirrel collecting nuts for winter.

The voyager Sandstorm turns into an armored car almost roadster and VTOL aircraft (kinda reminds me of a pelican or hawk from Halo) while Octane goes from tanker truck to cargo plane. I think it's an ok sacrifice to get vehicle modes that are similar if it means getting a good Octane. It also could kinda be a reference to how they were friends in the cartoon (that's a stretch I know). Plus that toy's silhouette kinda give's me an Octane vibe. They probably won't do it, but i'd think it'd be a good use of that mold to get another triple changer.
