I wish someone would elaborate on this as well. Was this a personal coupon, or is there another one floating around out there?

I stopped getting the 15-20% off coupons through email over a year ago  

 

Yeah, I remember stopping in there when I was in Allentown last, which was around the time MP TC was out, and he was like $10 more than my local store. I thought that was weird, especially since I think that was even higher than the Times Square store was selling it for.


Anyway, as far as coupons go, I've had about 4 come to my house between early July and now. I keep getting them attached to ads. But before that, I got basically none for months.

 

Just go to the coupon sticky in the toy discussion board. There's two coupons posted that I think expire on the 28th.

 

Looks like they keep getting taken down. Some dispute about coupon fraud. Anyone here got the code?

the thread said it expires on 8/28 and is In Store Only.
Also said it may be on a flyer at the store which would be easier than calling code up on phone. Ill post in a few hrs if i had success or not. guess ill grab mp storm. (if they still have it).

Same with Hagerstown Target. Not as many as Chambersburg though, but approximately 2 Rhinox and 3 Whirls (as well as a Sandstorm and 2 Doubledealers). Sadly TRU is worse, about 5 of each and, oddly, a Springer.

Discouraging indeed.

 

So, short story is: that coupon works.

Long story is... that Whitehall TRU is a complete P.O.S.
Sunstorm = 92.99
Prowl = 81.99

Knowing my previous experience there, i had already printed out the 79.99/69.99 web prices... this is when they tell me they cant do both... they can price match or give me the 20% off 1 item. We went back and fourth and i explained to them that every other TRU, including the Montgomeryville / North Wales store (which I live by... I work by the Allentown store...) has the figures at the same price as the web.

So I tell them they have two choice. Give me the price match and the 20% or lose the $150 sale.
THey chose the latter.

So I took a nice scenic drive down to the other TRU closer to my house and ended up buying both... Didnt really want Prowl.... not sure why I even bought him. I must get TRU eyes or something and fall into a daze. The lady at the counter couldnt have been nicer and signed me up for TRU rewards as I qualified for a $10 gift card with the purchase.

Summary: Coupon works. Whitehall TRU = Aceholes, Montgomery TRU = very nice people who I will drive the extra 15mins to give my business.

Agreed, I'm not expecting to see Roadbuster till late Sept. early Oct. Brainstorm in Nov./Dec. I would just pre-order the both Voyagers online along with Gears but the next 2 Gen Dlx waves coming over the horizon takes precedence over those for me.

Gears will likely be harder to find like all Legends so I'll grab him from BBTS soon.

 

God damn it. I missed freaking Rattrap again at W-B Target. All they had left was Scoop, Minicons, Skywarp, and Starscream.

Had a Lockdown, Drift, Slash, and two Strafes, but I could care less right now. Funny how those pop up right after their two month-long sale ends...

Also had the whole wave of ML Guardians. I left with a box of Clif bars.

so.. i'm fairly pleased with roadbuster.. both modes look good, he's got ankle articulation!.. no wrist articulation which is a bummer because he has so many weapons. the transformation is a bit simple, but it's interesting.

the paint is a bit sloppy though. i love that he comes with so many weapons, i just wish the individual weapons looked cooler.

my only real complaint is with the stickers.. they REALLY need to start taking into consideration the area that the sticker is supposed to go on. some of the stickers are too big for the area they're supposed to fit on, and some of the area's that those stickers are supposed to go have indentation in the mold which doesn't help either. i mean, the autobot symbol for the chest is just WAY too big. but still, if stickers are my biggest complaint, overall it's a pretty nice figure.. and i wasn't expecting to like it much, but he looks perfect with the other generations wreckers.

 

I will be happy when I can find Roadbuster. Rattrap, I would like to get but won't be heartbroken if I miss.

 

North Atherton Walmart in State College had the Walmart exclusive 3 pack with deluxe Strafe and all three of the two packs this morning. I bought 1 each of the two packs and they have at least 1 of each left as well as two three packs.

 

Honestly, if you all aren't opposed to it, i'd keep tabson roadbuster on ebay. I got him off there for retail + shipping form here in the US. Most of the auctions from overseas seem to be very reasonably priced.

Agreed 100% dude. The paint's a bit sloppy on mine too, specifically on his shins as theres 2 places on either shin i can see the orange bleeding through the brown paint. Could not agree more on the stickers, though i only applied the Wreckers insignia. It is a little too big for the chest. Also, i wish it had a white background and not the clear one.

 

Was anyone on here at the TRU in Monroeville last night around 6pm? Saw a guy walking around with a Sunstorm, checking out the TFs. Was going to say hi, but he looked rather deep in thought on whether that Voyager Whirl would be worth it! (Don't worry, sir, it's an awesome figure.)

 

Hazleton Walmart was resetting their toy section last night. Saw that 3-pack with Strafe, Bee, and Stinger. Nothing new out yet, though.

 

I'm more excited than I thought I would be for Roadbuster. He looks like a big, chunky, fun bot.

I mean I love my Revolver, but Hasbro RB looks like he scratches an entirely different kind of itch.
