In the first episode of g1, when the autobots and decepticons crashed on earth for millions of years, do you think shockwave sent any rescue parties out to try to find his friends since he didnt know where they were? Thanks
He just stayed in gun mode firing away haphazardly until he decided to try to make a phone call at the precise moment to contact Megatron after about 4 million years. And he's one of the smart ones.
Megatron told Shockwave to stay put and leave Cybertron as he left it when he came back. Shockwave is literally that much of an idiot.
Realistically: Yes, but space is big. Officially: Nothing happened, he had a planet to run. So yeah, he had planet full of problems to deal with. So kinda have to give him props for not letting Cybertron go dark after 4 million years. Plus with the small Autobot resistance giving him grief. I'm not spoiling it if you're going to watch the series in sequential order.
No, I don't think Shockwave's an idiot, he's just that much of a computer. He was doing only what he was commanded to do.
I like of like how the series began 4 million years before the 1980s and the Transformers still had more advanced tech than the humans did when they woke up
Actually, thinking of this it is more surprising that Cybertron didn't advance AT ALL in that period of time.
It would be logical to believe he did...I wish Hasbro would go back an officially fill in these type of blanks...
I believe the closest we have got or are ever likely to get is in dreamwaves comics where it shows or aludes to shockwaves actions and plans during this time. But if we are strictly sticking to the g1 cartoon he just obeyed orders in doing nothing
I'm a big fan of Dreamwave's idea of The Great Shutdown. The whole idea was that Cybertron was running out of energy resources, so the Ark took off to find new sources of energy -- since the Ark never came back, Cybertron ran outta energy and pretty much nothing happened until the G1 stories started. Makes perfect sense. I mean, 4 million years is a LOT to miss, even for TFs!
