Ok, this film has been bashed to hell and back a billion times. So I thought "hey let's talk about the good moments and parts".

    I think these are good parts;
    -More Decepticon screen time
-I liked the Autobots and N.E.S.T working together in the beginning
-Megatron was a good leader (if you ignore the fallen)
-I liked the Sunharvester, just wish we seen it in action
    -The Forrest battle
    -Starscream was great
-I enjoyed parts of the Egypt battle, like; ironhide and bikes going to look for Sam, Jetfire kicking butt, Megatron taking bullets like a boss.
    -Sideswipe's introduction

What else do you think was good in ROTF? Please no hate...it's getting old now and this is just for good things.

I have to disagree with you about Starscream. He was way more awesome in the first one.

The premise of NEST was cool, the forest fight was brilliant, and Devastator's combination scene is still incredible.

I do like the forest battle and Megatron arriving at the Fallen's lair.

Overall, if you really look at it, Revenge of the Fallen is a collection of several great/awesome scenes that are so poorly woven together by a horrific script that they dont save the movie.

    Examples of awesome scenes:

    The intro battle
Everything that has to do with Soundwave/Ravage
Optimus Primes speech at NEST (a genuinely great dialog scene)
    Megatrons ressurection
The fucking forest fight. One of the best action scenes ever.

Infact, almost all the scenes featuring Transformers, expecially in the first half of the movie, are great. The Decepticons get some really decent screen time and the interaction between Megatron and Starscream is really well put together.

Additionally to that, Revenge of the Fallen has a great score.

However, that the film still doesnt hold up on multiple viewings just shows how lackluster the rest of the script is and most of the great scenes are in the first half of the movie - in the second half of the movie, the movie just really falls apart. The only pretty good scene of the second half is Optimus Primes revival and his fight versus the Fallen and maybe Devastators transformation.

However, atleast, unlike alot of mediocre action blockbusters, ROTF has alot of memorable great scenes that keep you entertained the first time you watch it and maybe even stay with you for a while, which makes ROTF a more memorable and worthwhile movie than most Marvel movies in my book, even if it really isnt a good movie when it all comes together.

NEST was pretty cool, even if slightly too powerful. But following films puts thing into perspective. Same with the Cons. They didn't suck even half as much as they did in DOTM and AOE. Though they still were rather rubbish. They did, however, get Soundwave's role right. And points for Welker.

Megatron's design is one of my favorites and Sideswipe also looks badass. Long Haul, scrapper, Mixmaster, Ravage and Jolt also look pretty awesome.

The extended version of the Forrest Battle is a pretty good.

I didn't hate the humor as much as other people. I particularly enjoy the more comical role Simmons took. In it, he became my favorite human character.

I really enjoyed the first half of RotF because despite some over the top human scenes there was plenty of great Transformers scenes. Shanghai battle, Soundwave and Ravage, Optimus Prime at NEST, Megatron's resurrection, the Nemesis scene, the factory scene and the forest battle, and Megs and Scream on the roof.

The second half, which I consider after Megatron beats Starscream on the roof, is a complete disaster. The only stuff I liked where Devastator's transformation, Bee vs Rampage and the brief minute of Fallen pownage. Had the second half of the film been decent, RotF may have been my favorite in the series.

RotF is a collection of absolutely awesome scenes interspersed between a bunch of cringeworthy things. To me, it has the highest highs of all the movies, but the lowest lows as well. I like the following scenes a lot:

    -The forest battle
    -Devastator's combination scene
-Grindor's capture of the humans and the battle in the warehouse before the forest battle
-almost all of the desert battle, including BB vs. Ravage and Rampage
-The entire hunt for Demolishor and Sideways--lots of awesome moments during that
    -Megatron's resurrection
    -Ravage's infiltration
    -OP taking the Fallen's face
    -Wheelie infiltrating Mikaela's place
-the kitchen bots for the most part

The music is awesome too as others have mentioned--especially the forest battle music when OP declares he will "take them all on!" It has the best Linkin Park song too.

I need to watch them all again, but the more I think about it I may like RotF better than AoE. AoE doesn't have the valleys RotF has, but RotF's peaks just may be enough to carry the day in my opinion.

Loved the fact we got character development with Starscream & the way he & Megatron fought was hilarious!! Plus we saw a hint of his treacherous ways when Megatron confronted him.

Optimus' air drop into Shanghai complete with Autobot-symbol parachutes, and Megatron's design. That's pretty much it for me.

Some great points in this thread! I loved many scenes, but like others here have said, things weren't put together all that well. It's still my 4th favorite movie of all-time, right after the other three TFs. I can talk about the stuff they should have left out, but since the topic of this thread is the opposite of that...
    - I liked how the Fallen and the other ancient TFs had ancient designs.
    - The opening was so awesome! With Optimus dropping down and transforming, I was thinking, "this movie's going to be awesome!!!" Then they had the dog humping scene and... ok, back on topic!
    - I loved the Constructicons and Devastator. The Constructicon team featured unique designs among it's members, including Demolisher's giant-two wheels, Rampage's four legs and pogo stick, Scavenger's multi-limb design, Longhaul's brute body... And then Devastator was just a giant, monstrous behemoth!!!
    - Starscream/Megatron interaction was great!
    - Awesome forest battle.
    - Power-up Optimus Prime taking on the Fallen and Megatron!
    - While I disliked the over-the-top humor, I really liked Simmons, "ONE MAN! Betrayed... Alone..." "You're not alone, I'm right here! Stop saying that!" Ha ha!

The Shanghai and Forest battle scenes were awesome, the designs of Sideswipe, Jetfire, and the vast majority of the new Decepticons were fresh and interesting, and the score is brilliant.

That said, the plot is still a jumbled mess, there are too many characters to keep track of, the human scenes are at their absolute dumbest in this film, and the Fallen's plan doesn't make a lick of sense. Like, if you blow up a star to harvest energy, wouldn't that kill you too? Especially given how close Earth is to the sun? I mean, come on. I don't care if this was made during the writer's strike, it's still, by far, the most idiotic of all the Transformers films.

Was the harvester going to blow up the sun? I thought it was going to steal it's energy. This would have made Earth uninhabitable for organic beings, but not Cybertronians. I'll have to rewatch this again sometime...

    All my love to ROTF.

Megatron and Soundwave get their most badass alt modes ever (a tank and a satellite!)

Megatron and Starscream get some classic interaction.

This film has more identifiable Transformers than any other.

    Jetfire was glorious.

I liked the Twins (but that's my opinion).

It offered an interesting angle on the Primes and the Seekers (I especially liked the Seekers defined as explorers).

It has probably the best score (Matrix of Leadership, Forest Battle, Tomb of the Primes)

See, I'm in the minority here. While all 4 films had their fair share of issues (some a lot more than others), ROTF was actually my favorite of the four.
