Thank you so much Sydney for this as well as the other interviews. Absolutley loving this as well as Shogo Hasui's! I get so inspired from what they have to say. I havnt collected many mps yet aside from the recent TRU Grimlock and Ratbat. I am extremely eager to acquire these takara gems!

So now we can't even blame the guy who made MP Megatron for making Mp Megatron.
Anyway I think this was the most interesting interview so far. We not only know how rushed the production on Mp5 was (as MP4's development was also timed closely with it) but also it's touching to know that Hisashi-san got to fulfil a childhood dream.
In more practical revelations we now know the rough size of both the robot and super robot modes; Saber will be shorter than an MP car and the Star Saber will be taller than MP22.
Also the suggestion that an MP Ginrai may come into the works leaves me with a lot of hope; maybe they'll cover some of the other characters from the poll. I'm hoping Micron Convoy/Armada Prime will come into the works as well; if Hisashi Yuki pulls off an amazing Star Saber I will be really hoping he does all the Super Mode bots.

Yuki just tweeted a pic of Saber standing behind Prowl. They look the same size.

From what I can tell Prowl's legs are a little more spread while Saber looks (at least to me) that his legs are closer together; while they're standing at similar heights Saber still looks shorter and if you spread his legs like Prowl he's probably even shorter.

This really defines what the word Masterpiece means. Thank you, Mr Hisashi.

He wasn't lying about the massive alt mode. Looks like the length is maybe a little shorter than Prime+Trailer, but 2-3 times the width. That's a damned big transformer.

Imagine if Fort Max would've won. We might have had our first 3-4 foot Transformer.

Yeah, but it's a shame he didn't win. I was also surprised to see Fortress Maximus come in last place.

My guess is because the Encore just came out and people were content with that.

easy to say that until the reality of how much money it'll cost comes, then people will suddenly "have no space", "wait for clearance", wait for bootleg", etc :lol

Very cool! I'm sure there's nothing about an estimated cost either, right?

I only asked him about the release date and when we'll see more of the figure.. Didn't really think of asking about an estimated price.. Was more surprised he tweeted back!

Thanks for sharing. That further explains why we've not seen Star Saber listed at retailers yet if there is no release date yet.

SydneyY - thank you for translating this. You're a legend. Speaking of legends it's shocking how little time Yuki had to develop MP05. I still love that mould but it's an even more impressive achievement knowing how it was created. Damn, that's insane.
