    Exactly. They could have put Cosmos or Jetfire on the cover but they didn't. Ironhide isn't relavant in this story yet. Also, Prowl is in his Cybertronian from right now.

    No, his current body is an Earth one. It's not the exact same one he had on Cybertron.

    That said, I don't think this cover is really going for accuracy to the current comics, given that all of the characters on it are in their classic G1 bodies.

    Thanks for all the questions and comments guys. The main reason Ironhide is on the cover is because I like Ironhide. The other reason is something happens in this issue which I don't want to spoil. The two reasons they are not in their IDW bodies is because I picked the bodies your average person would know and like optimalprimus said I wanted it to look great with the last exclusive we did.

    This is totally just a G1 nostalgia cover on a modern IDW book. The design cues of Optimus Prime and Arcee in IDW just are not there.

    That's a sweet cover. Made me smile, brought me back to my childhood. Going to use that as the wallpaper on my laptop. I could hear the background music from the original cartoon in my head when I saw it, thanks for posting

    Kup would have probably been more appropriate as the "old bot" on the cover. At the very least, it wouldn't have spoiled anything and Arcee wouldn't stand out so much as the only 1986 character.

    Him being on this cover doesn't really spoil anything--we already know from solicits this issue takes place on Cybertron.
