One of the best (and probably the most irritating) scouts of his time, Rattrap was always looking for new places to poke his nose into - and what better adventure than an exploration mission? Surely nothing could go wrong, right..? Inspired by the version of Rattrap in Beast Wars: Uprising, I decided to make a Pre-Beast Wars Rattrap from a Transformers Prime Rumble, and a FOC Jazz pistol. Here's a pic for reference! His head has been greatly altered from Rumble's original, and I just HAD to give him a mouth and his iconic tooth, because Rattrap wouldn't be Rattrap without a mouth to shoot off. One step closer to completing the original Pre-Beast Wars Maximal crew! His eyes don't really turn up well against his copper face especially with the flash on despite it looking rather okay IRL - I really need to cobble together a small photography setup! Edit: The Pre-Beast Wars Optimus Primal was a replication of archieboy's Primal Breakdown!
Looks real good! But i do wonder why you chose that mold because it is so accurate to that comics pic but then didnt go with the colors in that pic. Just trying to stay with actual BW Rattrap colors? Either way, it rocks.
That picture seems to use his BM colour scheme. I think it's a shame you didn't use it, but it's still a good custom.
Thanks guys! I decided to deviate from his BM color scheme to stay truer to his original colors, as the Beast Wars Uprising series seens to be an alternate continuity - I really liked how the mold fit him though, so I took the liberty of coloring him differently from Uprising and giving him something closer to his original head! That and the fact that the rest of my pre-Beast Wars customs are the 'bots in their original colors so..
