You know for the first time I really do think Bay may actually be done with the TF Movies,I mean for all the movies he said that was it,but since he has other projects lined up I think we can take him for his word.

As for other movie directors, these I hope none of these want to do the last two films, and they are Quentin Tarantino,Tim Burton,or M. Night Shyamalan,I mean they are good directors/producers but jeez if one of them did the next movie you wouldn't have so much Robots Fighting but more Robots jumping out and scaring the he** out of you.So please anyone else besides these 3.

Keep Bay as producer, change the writer(even though rumors are that Kruger has an idea for the new script), and get De Toro, maybe Zack Synder, and Peter Jackson.

Despite my love for the Bay movies, flaws and all, I do hope we get a new director. Just so people stop firing their hate guns at the name "Michael Bay." And also to see how different it is.

I would flip a table if Jackson directed it.

    This.

Michael Bay is a tick on the franchise's back. We will never get rid of this man as long as he makes money. He's got the walking money bags completely scared to let him go, and he knows it. All he's doing is preying on their fears so they'll pay him just a little more.

Want to see him gone? Stop making him profitable. It should be a no-brainer, but I've seen people who want him gone that STILL go watch the movies. Multiple times, even.

Yes, story repeats. I think he's just a bit tired Almost 50 years old and 24/7 working! I think he will rest about year and will start again Ehren Cruger in his interview says that he and Michael have so many ideas for future film. And it's impossible if some Peter Jackson/Guillermo del Toro will head new film with Michael Bay as a producer - it will be like 2 moms on 1 kitchen:)

Just because Michael Bay is still with Paramount doesn't mean he will be directing the Transformers movies. Paramount likes the money he makes for them, but there are other projects he can make money with besides Transformers. Paramount just doesn't want someone else picking him up.

Martin Scrocesse and Woody Allen should be considered. If Stanely Kubrick were alive then may be him.

Reboot. Actually, give it a decade, then reboot.

PS. I love Woody Allen but that's the stupidest idea I've ever heard.

    THIS.

If there'a a franchise that needs rebooting or reimagining it is G.I. Joe.

And even then, I'm not sure if we'd get someone better.

I am just poking fun of the fan boys that put out their fantasy football movie directors. Like as if any of the directors (Jackson or Deltoro) would consider doing Transformers

If anything, this might be Bay's way of gaining leverage with the studio heads to put forth a larger budget. Larger budget = more TF and creative direction.

Heres my pick for a successor: Marc Forster. His eye for cinematography is not completely unlike what we know from Bay, so he can make for atleast some form of visual consistency with Bays unique style while still bringing his own things to the table.

However, either way, if Bay leaves, they desperately need better script writers - they wont find another director who directs as unique as Bay does so they cant count on that carrying the movie (atleast to a degree) anymore, so they need to focus on having scripts that a more ordinary director can work with and that resonate more with audiences.

Bay will become the greatest movie director ever if this is true.
