I believe apes don't have a hyoid bone which is needed to produce a wide variety of sounds in speech. I thought the apes speech in PotA was a descent compromise.

Third Planet of the Apes prequel should be called Planet of the Apes: The Quest for Peace- humans attempt to beat the apes by cutting of some of Caesar's hair and throwing it into the sun with a Nuclear Missile to create Nuclear Caesar! This plan backfires though as Nuclear Caesar beats normal Caesar and then pushes the apes to defeat humanity (with help from his nuclear powers)- thus setting up Planet of the Apes.

    Cheers fellas.

I've got a KO myself, but recently(today) acquired a 'legit' one.
I don't think the chap I bought off would deliberately dupe me, I can't see much difference between the new one and the KO one, but then that could be because they're both KOs :lol

The new realfake one doesn't have the raised tab and the weapon gimmick doesn't work which apparently are signs of fakeness!

Bullcrap! It does seem like great quality. But I paid 'real' money so I don't want fake tings.

Just went back and read that, man what a terrible accident with alcoholic beverages! :)

I keep finding myself looking at their Dirge, as the mournful old sod is my favorite out of the second set of Seekers and for some inexplicable reason I don't have a modern version of him (come on Takara, do the Coneheads!)

But then I remind myself that he'd probably end up stuck in Tetramode anyway, even though they seem to have sorted his face out....

:lolol  Best Fields of the Nephilim song ever, they should be grateful! :)

I still put Avengers & Cap 2 above it as they didn't have to introduce so many characters and backstory in them which I felt was one thing that hurts GotG a bit.

Could very well be! And I loved most of the others too, especially the Avengers movie and the Thor & Cap flicks. :)

Just got back from seeing GotG - really good film. If we're comparing it to other Marvels, I like Avengers more because of familiarity with the characters but then I'm not sure there's much to compare other than them both being Marvel? Avengers is a superhero film, Guardians is a space adventure.

All the stuff Ive had from him before has either been fine or misassembled. Worse one was Plat grimlock whose shoulders were swapped. After a bit of tinkering though he was well worth the £12 I paid. The sweet deals you can get on his stuff tend to make it worth it.

Just ordered skids from him so fingers crossed that's ok. At least you know you are protected with ebay if not

I think it comes down to the director as well, after all he was rubbish in Riddick.

I absolutely loved GotG, moreso than Avengers or any X Men or Spidey film I've seen. Admittedly I have missed both CA movies. But then I loved Thor, so...

I think I am all prepared for AA. Got a comic for Roche, Milne, Coller and Roberts to sign (not the same one).

Got a couple gifts for friends from across the world I haven't seen in nearly a decade or never seen before at all!

Shopping list prepared, and ready to be massively ignored based on shiny things I see in person.

    All the best
    Maz

In the spirit of AA I am massacring Stellas and innocently looking up reviews of Brave toys...that just happen to turn into space shuttles...I am sure that these two activities will not converge at some fuzzy future point, quite sure...

Well, ready for a two hour drive tomorrow. Should be an interesting day.

After 3 AA's (all a long time ago), I may actually hear Furman speak!

Had a look round the dealer room, Hitch has a French Ceji G1 Megs, but it's loose and all my others are boxed, so resisting it. Only two things I fancy totalling £25, so looking like a cheap year for a change!

I saw Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes in Dubai (massive recliner seat, loads of leg room, small cinema with astounding sound system, ticket price less than £10; best cinema ever!) and enjoyed every minute. What a fantastic movie. I watched Rise again the week before I left, so I was well prepared, and Dawn overtook Rise in every way. How they made me care so much about Caesar the digital monkey is amazing.

I rather like AOE Bee v2. He fits in well with the others, has some cool gimmicks, and doesn't look half melted like the v1.
