Though this is one of the few, if not the only, continuity to speak cybertronian, I wish they did it a little more. I mean why would you speak your secondary language(english) with your own race. I just think cybertronian dialogue would be cool.

 

I think Lockdown, Optimus, and Lockdown's mecenaries were the only ones who spoke cybertronian. And yes I agree with you about the cybertronian but perhaps we'll see more in the sequel cause who knows that the Creators might not speak English same with Optimus.

Yes I did and I do know that they spoke cybertronian in Tf1 but kinda forgot if they spoke it in Rotf and Dotm havem't seen those movies in a while.

I assume English is spoken for the audience's convenience when the Transformers interact with each other and actually speak Cybertronian.

 

Eh I like to think they all spoke english on Cybertron just like in the shows. Screw the cybertronian language! :O

Maybe you're right I like when they speak their language. But of course it would be bad if all dialogs between TFs would be on Cybertronian We must constantly read subtitles  And I imagine how heroic our (and any international actors) when they make dubbing of lines on Cybertronian!  Even Frenzy was dubbed by Russian actor!

 

Cybertronian is awesome. Hearing Optimus Prime speak it for the first time was an absolute blast. Amazingly set up scene.

 

I wish we coulda heard Leonard Nimoy speak it, it woulda made perfect sense.

"Driller-bot is thirsty" was just a misinterpretation by the subtitler for the DVD.

 

Every time a character made an unintelligible noise with his mouth that clearly wasn't a roar, grunt, or similar sound, it was Cybertronian. There seem to be several dialects though, since we've heard it sounding like electronic noises(TF1), sounds similar to but not quite roars, growls, and grunts(TF2 and TF3), and full fledged speech(TF4).
