Neither have much personality whatsoever. I actually think I like the Welker voice better, but the hobo-design was so eerie and creepy that I can't help but like that one better.
Galvatron's design looked like ass, his color scheme was ugly, and he had a non-transformation that was super-boring to look at and didn't mesh with the rest of whatever shot it appeared in. And as a character, he also had no spark, which means he wasn't really alive... just a bunch of copied files from dead Megatron's database. DotM Megatron was my favorite movie version of that character. On the ropes, conflicted, layered. Interesting. And he had the coolest, most interesting alt mode the character has ever had in any form of media ever, imo. I prefer that truck to a gun; I prefer it to a tank. Sooo... DotM Megatron for me.
AOE Galvatron...WELKER. DOTM Megatron was cool, but his voice throughout the first 3 just didn't do it for me --that and the fact that he played 2nd fiddle for 2 of the 3 films. He had some good moments: Killing prime in the ROTF forest battle (albeit from behind), and him blasting Sentinel with his shotgun. I love the design of AOE Galvatron, coupled with the voice of the original Megatron in Welker--hopefully he will be developed into the villain that movie Megatron never was.
I don't get how some are saying Galvatron is way more Badass and vise-versa. In AOE Galvatron is Megatron reborn so I don't get why some prefer one over the other when it's the same robot were talking about.
Same way people can prefer ROTF Megatron to 07 Megatron. Or Beast Machines Megatron to Beast Wars Megatron.

I'm going to have to with Galvatron on this one. Visually he was fun to look at, he displayed qualities of a leader (an evil leader, but that still counts), and the most impressive of all; he survived the movie, and was able to retreat, and regroup his forces! A Megatron (or Galvatron) who is not a complete dummy. It only took 4 movies... DOTM Megatron, I thought was really good until Sentinal showed up, and muscled in. Then Megatron became all gothy, and emo. And then he stood there like a doofus and let Prime kill him. Worst. Megatron. Ever.
Galvatron. My favorite iteration of Megatron was in ROTF, mainly for the forest battle which is one of my all-time favorite Prime-Megatron throw downs in the history of Transformers.
i liked Megatron's design in dotm and I really like how he kicked sentinel's old rear end, but Galvatron in my opinion is a better character over all so I give it to Galvatron.
Megatron was beaten within seconds by Optimus and as far as we knew at the time, was killed. Galvatron was the one who made it he wasn't dead and as we're comparing the two, that point goes to Galvatron. Who managed to go toe to toe with Optimus, without backup, for a couple of minutes. Plus, Galvatron didn't look fat, replace a fusion cannon with a shotgun or speak like he was a human three year old. So while I think little AOE Galvatron, he was a step up from DOTM Megatron. But that's not hard when DOTM had, by far, the worst. Portray of Megatron. EVAH!
DOTM Megatron for the fucking win. Why? Because DOTM Megatron showed us a Megatron that was a character, not a robot.
