Yellow bugs me a little too. So does the lack of a potted Groot, since I can only have four of the five in the Milano. Groot has to sit on the wing.
The Milano is an awesome ship. The build is fun, the minifigs are amazingly detailed, especially Drax and Ronan, it's very swooshable, you can customize the look of the wings to your liking, the yellow is a nice shade of dark/orangey yellow, the pilot's seat is an amazing little piece I never considered making before, and the tapedeck is a lovely touch. I wish I didn't have to get Knowhere to get Rocket, because he's the only reason I can think of to get it, besides Nebula, I guess. As for Groot? He can grow once they land and get out
its official..if i like the movie im going to get the milano and the knowhere set. i wonder what other comic sets they are thinking of doing.....i want a thanos lego figure reeely bad.i mean we have modok, i never thought they would make him being kinda a obscure character.maybe with the recent movies coming out in the next few years we can see one. on the dc side i think a metallo out of legos would be cool......and doomsday.
Picked up the Starblaster Showdown after seeing GOTG tonight. The build was pretty fun and I love the flexibility with the wings of both ships. I bought this specifically to get Star Lord and I was surprised with how much I enjoyed the entire set.
I almost bought this set today as well, but ended up putting it back on the shelf. I think I'll pick it up Monday after work. It looks good.
I really want the GOTG Lego but they're kinda pricey, think I'm gonna get the Milano and source the individual minifigures. Fingers crossed for a smaller Groot sometime soon!
I do like the others have said. I break it down by color into ziplocks and store it with instructions in the boxes of possible. Sometimes I discard the box as they take up real estate. I just rotate some sets in a display under my tv.
A lot of people liked my Lego Movie MOC of the Batwing (here it is, by the way: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/992447-lego-movie-moc-batwing.html), so I'm presenting "The Bat", an aerial piece of arsenal in Batman's collection, featured in Dark Knight Rises. This MOC features 2 seats, propellers, and arm-mounted engines (just like the real thing). Here's the link: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/997392-lego-moc-bat-dark-knight-rises.html
My Pick A Brick order finally arrived in the mail today! Now I just need to track down two more parts and I can get to building my arm pack!
Found an Architecture Burj Khalifa tower at Target for $7.48. Don't collect the Architecture line but couldn't pass it up, will either use it for parts or sell/trade it online. Also found a Nano Blocks fiddler crab for $3.88. Never bought Nano Blocks before but figured I could give them a shot at clearance price.
If you ordered on the 1st and got no email confirmations or shipping notices, check your LEGO.com account - my order is marked as shipped with a tracking number! Hurry up Exo-Suit! And Star Destroyer!
Anyone have the Ghost and Phantom from Rebels? Thinking about grabbing the TRU 2-pack after work today, just want some build thoughts on it. Also, hope you like the Exo Suit FatalT, haven't been hearing good things.
Yeah, I don't get all the negative comments calling the Exo Suits fragile. I've had mine for over a week, and the only time something fell off was when I accidentally knocked it off of my table and it fell on the floor. And even then, NONE of the supposed 'fragile' parts came off. Only the antenna and the two protrusions on the shoulders, which are on there solidly otherwise.
The Phantom is tiny, but if you're getting the Ghost as well it's an excellent set. Plus, the minifigs are new and exclusive, so you can make some of the cost back if you have no interest in them or the new series. And definitely get the 2-pack if you're planning to get both anyway, as it tempers the fact that the Phantom is a bit overpriced for its size
Mainly doing this because I had a lot of fun building the Milano, but also because the Hasbro Rebels line is fucking awful and this is probably the best alternative. Will be picking it up tonight.
Does anybody know if the Hero Factory mech cockpit piece is in Digital Designer? I can't seem to find it anywhere... EDIT: Never mind, I just found it. It's only in extended mode, I think.
Looking for some input, should I get the Mini Cooper set or wait for the UCS Tumbler? I know it's hard to compare them with only one out right now, and given their huge difference in price but I really only want to spend the money for one of the two and I'm not sure which will be more worth it.
