the first post has some close-up pics of what the molded engine look like in person, as well as painted. but chances are you may do a better job than my simple gundam marker paintjob, so be sure to show us your versions when they arrive

assembly-wise, the bracket holds in place by simply being "clamped" by the cab's front bumper, nothing much to it really. for this reason, the engine brackets will not hold itself in cab robot mode since in robot mode the bumper has nothing to clamp against, so keep that in mind

I am putting an end to this project for now, will continue once the Godarmor is released

I have created a new part which may be useful for some people: a shoulder cannon filler to hide the curse of the long peg between the shoulder cannon and the shoulder, if you choose to attach the elbow pads as well.

All links updated in first post, as well as a youtube video for all to ridicule lol

I'm glad I was able to get the engines. They really added to the final look of PM.
Ended up scrapping an extra G1 PM Trailer I had for the trailer panels on the legs. They were bigger and gave the legs the added beef they needed.
But again, the molded engine adds a ton to this guy.

I think the project is dead. the Power/God-Bomber figure/armour killed the whole thing as you couldn't include Optimus Prime when it combined with his trailer armour (unless you modded it back to it's supposedly originally intended form).

The high price of both sets, plus the need to buy expensive Shapeways add-ons and the need to cut up and mod to fix the figure, led to one really expensive thing that was just not worth the time and effort for (most?) people interested in this figure.

It's almost the 3P equivalent to the official failiure that is Titans Return "Powermaster" (sic) Optimus Prime.

I'm aware he's done but that doesn't mean I can't buy the parts.

OK, my bad. Will you be making parts that allow the cab to fit into the trailer part while GodBomber attaches? There are mods that allow it but perhaps a replacement part here or there or even extra parts could be used to make the process easier?

hi, unfortunately not at this time. i have thought briefly about it but the main problem is it will likely involve alot of big parts and it will end up being pretty expensive to purchase on shapeways

and then there is this possibility where my design will get swiped by someone else...

but never say never. im taking a short break from toys until after october (just got married and still getting settled, plus 58hr work weeks), so i may think about looking into this again in the future
