There are message boards but no one really knows what's going on related to the SDCC exclusives because last year was the first year MTG got exclusives. I found this board on my F5 quest last year and became fond of you   I've just been lurking since then because well, I am not a transformers collector.

Yeah but thats the Unlimited version. Not a lot of people who want a black lotus really want the Unlimited version which is IIRC the 3rd reprint.   If they made a 2nd and a 3rd reprint of these, they would be only a little more than the regular versions. I mean it will be nice to have but if I were to get a black lotus i would go for the Alpha or the Beta and have it framed on the wall lol.

Those pointing out the hypocrisy of scalping the Magic set by those of us decrying scalpers make a really good point. I will admit that I hate artificial inflation due to scalpers more than most, and I try really hard to be a good member of the community and help others get the toys they want.

Last year, I had a moment of weakness and did buy the MtG set, but I did so primarily because the GI Joe/Transformer set was really the only thing I wanted, and because of that lawsuit it wasn't available. So I bought MtG and promptly put it up on eBay so I could in turn be scalped on the stuff I wanted.

In my defense, I put that Magic set up for auction starting at cost with free shipping. But ultimately that is a pretty lame excuse. I honestly felt bad about doing that because I hate when others do it to me. So I apologize, and I will not be doing it again.

However, the extraordinary immediate return on investment (400%+) is pretty hard to resist, so you MtG folk have to understand that even the most morally upright toy collectors are going to have a tough time resisting. Most of the stuff that the typical Transformer/GI Joe/Star Wars/Marvel fan wants maybe goes for double on eBay. So some jackoff makes maybe $50-$75 dollars on the flip. Those MtG sets make you an immediate $300-$400 on the flip. Shit, that's a car payment, or a student loan payment, or it pays for your entire SDCC haul.

It's a really tough issue for me. I have no problem with anyone who tries to make a few bucks on it due to the amazing return. At the same time, I realize that doing it makes me everything I hate.

Sorry for the philosophical rant... but what the hell else is there to do?

It runs slower for me than firefox does. Nothing specific to HTS. I worry that those seconds could mean the difference.

Prepare Yourself! (aka: "Clench up Legolas"):
1: Make sure you have LOGGED IN to HTS at least once, or created an account. Some people last year complained that it would not allow them to log in if they logged out. Some complained that they were logged out if they were logged in already. Make sure you have your username and password handy.

2: Make sure your addresses are updated properly. Having to correct an order via phone is a pain in the butt.

3: Make sure your credit cards are updated properly. If its the first time using a specific card, last year HTS put HOLDS on those orders because the cards had never been used on their site before, or were for large amounts. People had to call to customer service. Try to use Paypal if possible, although that may cause a delay as well, and your order may be cancelled. BE AWARE. Also be aware you may need to call your credit card people to authorize the large amount. If you just wait, IT WILL GET CANCELLED.

4: If you don't get your confirmation within 2 hours of your purchase, check your reference number or call. You don't want to get cancelled.

5: Be aware there are a metric ton of people accessing the site at the same time. Have more than one browser open. Internet Explorer SUCKS. Firefox, Opera, and Chrome work best.

6: Have the customer service number handy. You don't know if you're going to have to call.

7: If something goes out of stock, there MAY be a restock. That's not definite.

8: HasbroToyShop is NOT HASBRO. I can't state that enough. They aren't the company, they're a separate one that happens to sell Hasbro toys.

9: Clench your cheeks people. If you don't get what you want, it's not the end of the world. There's enough things to rage about happening in the real world without having to cut your doinker off because you didnt get toyz. Ask for help.

hm... i see 2 flaws with that... 1..do they even HAVE weekend employees? 2. I doubt if there -are- weekend employees, they would be trusted with this particular task.

I know from past phone calls that there are literally only 2 people that were going through ALL of the orders so take that as you will.
