These are some great figures. I'm really looking forward to getting them...but you know what I REALLY want to see? I want to see a 3rd Party company make replacement hands and replacement thighs made in a two part construction to replace the ones that come on Jetfire so we can eliminate that "hollowness" the figure has because those REALLY lok BAD. YOU HEAR ME 3RD PARTY COMPANIES? UPGRADE JETFIRE'S HANDS AND THIGHS. MAYBE MAKE COVERS FOR THE HOLLOW PARTS OR NEW THIGHS ALTOGETHER...AND MAYBE NEW NON-CHROMED WEAPONRY TOO!
I wonder, will the future legends figures become target masters/weaponry for a bigger figure? Because I like the idea.
Just wondering, it doesn't look like Hound comes with all his weapons, because they're nto stored in the regular place on his body, that or either he's hiding them elsewhere but that would be a ripoff if they weren't included
This is truly the best year from Hasbro in terms of generations toys, for me anyways. WANT NOW: Windblade, Arcee, Chromia, Jetfire, Roadbuster, Brainwave Already bought Whirl this year, and going to keep it. That is a lot right there for me. Also, if I find Hasbro MP Prowl on sale or something, I would like one, but not a must, already have Smokescreen which is my favorite.
Always liked the Brainstorm toy even if the character was just okay. Definitely a buy. Now if Hasbro will just fix the distribution!
Man I really hope those two Toys R Us exclusive won't be super hard to get. I want those so badly. Sucks they don't have a price on them.
If you're referring to better versions coming out through exclusives, well the reason is for the general releases they have to stick to a budget, but when it comes to exclusives they have a lot more freedom.
What happened to Platinum Evasion Optimus's facemask? And is that Crankcase in place of Vehicon? Really?
In the past they have used that "freedom" to give us much more creative stuff than "everybody is painted better," or "twenty different versions of Optimus that are all tweaked so that no one is definitive." I understand the character-focused approach that AoE has taken, but it's left me bored and if I'd purchased a Crosshairs I'd be well on my way into resentful. It is valid to critique their approach to exclusives this time.
Quite poor SDCC TFs... I would have liked some AoE/Generations news, but there are only toys which half of them I already have/have preordered... I was hoping for some future releases like a Deluxe Stinger or Steeljaw or some news on the Movie Advanced Line... it's been a while since AD-18, 19, 29 and 30 are on preorder and no idea what are they... At least the two combiners look promising and better looking than my FoC Bruticus.. EDIT: Just a quick thought... considering prices and "names" on RK page AD-18 is a Voyager 'Con and AD-19 a Deluxe Autobot of old lines (illogical to put a new toy with a lower number than older toys of the same line, and AoE toys "wave 2" begins with AD-20 Balck Knight Grimlock). While AD-29 and AD-30 are Voyager Dinobot and Autobot (Slog and Drift I can only think of) and they should relaese in September says RK.
It says on the little card Dec '14. That's really close to Christmas. Like, being a BBTS exclusive it could very well mean not many get it in time for Christmas. I'm more interested in if there was a price on the card, but there's no clear shot in TFW's gallery. I'm still bugged that we had to wait until now to know it was BBTS. I've been banking on this, but BBTS kind of sucks for anyone outside the US.
Is there a reason we should be upset that the "Autobots United" is a BBTS exclusive? I could understand price reasons, but other than that, BBTS is a great store. I'll definitely be pre-ordering that. I'll be honest, I haven't bought any Age of Extinction toys because what I've actually seen in the stores looked pretty awful to me, but some of these new announcements look awesome. Autobots United is a must-have. And that two-pack of Platinum Evasion Prime and Grimlock actually looks pretty damn awesome (and they're both Voyagers right?). I'll probably pre-order that too. I'll probably pass on the Breakout Battle... not enough interests me there. But the Platinum Leader-class Optimus and Grimlock look really cool too! I'll probably be getting that too. It's funny how little paint tweaks like that can make something that I had initially no interest in look sooo much more appealing!
At this point, I dont think even Takara knows who in the hell AD18 and AD19 are. If theyre characters from previous movies, maybe they will have a connection to the new cartoon. If they are AOE characters then maybe one of them is Rollbar.
