cloudballoon has a relatively simple mod to make a replacement, which seems simple enough to do...

 

I just confirmed that my Crosshairs does have black paint for the front headlights. The embossed numbers on the back of the package are "40551" if that helps identify which Crosshairs have the running change.

 

And now I'm exchanging my Crosshairs...

 

I'm thinking I'll probably put chrome foil on those areas. I believe the Reprolabel set has a sticker for that area as well...

 

Got mine today and it has the black headlights as well.

 

I just checked the Reprolabel set for Crosshairs again and, wow, does it look good. It looks like they're got stripes for bother sides and detailed stickers for the headlights under the translucent plastic...

Sweet! I ordered mine shortly after they sent out their announcement e-mail, so I'm hoping it arrives any day now...

 

While I have no pictures, I got the Crosshairs reprolabels and I can confirm they're great. I opted not to use some of the ones for his upper legs - as I liked the custom paint I put on there better than their stickers, but I used the rest and it turned out amazing.

 

Dear my....I haven't seen a Repro job like this since Prime Ratchet and Knockout!

He's amazing!

 

After seeing some pictures of him actually transformed correctly, and realizing he actually does look good, I broke down and got Crosshairs.

The Good-
Transformed properly he does look pretty good in robot mode.
Corvettes are one of the best looking cars in my mind.

The Bad-
Side panels of coat should be ball jointed so as to allow more range of motion.
Goggles should be painted so as to bring out detail.
Modern Corvettes aren't half as sexy as classic corvettes.

The Ugly-
The official pictures that are always misstransformed. Serously, he can actually look good.
The fact that in package he looks so similair to the PAB version. Way too easy to get the two confused.

 

Just finished sticking mine today and he sure does look awesome!!! I think later I'll order fakebusker's Shapeways guns for him and then paint him up as well...

 

Can someone post pictures of him standing next to voyager Grimlock (or amy deluxe Dino). I feel like every pic I see has him crouching (or maybe thats just its design). Think I might end up getting him and voyager Prime after all... am still not sold on Drfit tho

Got a Takara Crosshairs,love the guy. His feet dont want to really lock together into place in altmode and I think this causes him to have his left front wheel in the off the table while the other 3 are perfect on the table,Im not sure?Transformed him a dozen times and still the same issue. Anyone else experience this or with any TF for that matter? I had the same issue with Prime FE CJ few years back.

 

ive seen everyone refer to his bombs, but i always thought they were suppose to be pistols. whats the story?

 

The figure was designed to match the concept art - which shows Crosshairs carrying bombs (with timers) on the inside of his coat tails.

So, looking at the side of them, you'll see they have the LCD timer molded in the same spot - that would make them bombs.

Everyone assumed they were pistols when the figure was released, for two reasons:
1.) they weren't labeled as bombs in the instructions/bio
2.) we'd seen trailer footage of Crosshairs weilding two guns & saw what we wanted to see in the toy

As the figure only comes with one rifle, many use the storage peg as a makeshift gun handle
- but they are clearly molded to match the concept art's bombs...

 

i fucking love this toy. his bombs are sick and he's so much better with two SMG's. and the extra one stores under his hood!

 

That concept art is so dope. Did he have all that detailing under his "jacket" in the movie, or did they simplify it?
