It isn't the helicopter that is the problem, they could make that work for Slingshot. But not with that head. The set is borderline perfect - and then he completely ruins it. Why do 4 so well and one completely off? They did the same on the Stunticon side. And it isn't like those molds are remolds - they're new molds. It's just really dumb and reeks of a lack of true collector understanding. The kids don't give a shit if it has Slingshot's head - so why not? Couldn't a Blades reuse have a new head just as easily as Bumblebee, Goldbug, and Nightbeat? The answer is obvious to everyone but Hasbro.

 

I think this more or less echoes my thoughts as well. It also seems that many people here who should know better by now are forgetting that the actual production runs of these figures are going to look a LOT worse than these photoshop'd promo images... as they ALWAYS end up doing. There's no way those figs are going to look like that way once they hit shelves. No way in hell.

Decent effort overall, but they nevertheless dropped the ball on these. Again.

at least a helicopter still flies. and you know what else it does? hovers. you know what else hovers? a harrier jet.

so at least it is consistent WITH the character. sure, it doesn't fit in with the others speed wise. but it's still fits in. as it is still CLEARLY a military vehicle.

i had trusted hasbro not to make or market horrible combiner teams....Then PCC teams came out....UGH.

I hope this series means they'll occasionally release stand-alone TFs in Generations that are fully combination-compatible with these guys.

 

Since Scrapper is actually dead, he'd obviously be left out.

The constructicons have been a 5 member unit for awhile now in the comics, and since that's the direction Hasbro seems to be going right now, it's kind of a no-brainer to leave out Scrapper.

 

Currently dead yes but this is the generations line. If they do a Devasatator it should be able to function as both the current and the classic set up.

 

If they do devastator, which they most likely will, that would also probably mean they will make a Prowl figure to work with them. Since it's all tied into the IDW Universe.

While I agree with you on this, You do realise that it adds a lot of extra functionality being required to be built into Long Haul, which in terms of toys, could mean that there are some serious compromises to his figure.
Having said that, it would still be a bloody awesome feature.

I think you´re confusing "pronounced" with "spelled". Either way, it´s "turnoff".

 

Im glad we are getting them, I like third party designs and have a couple of them, ( I even bought fp munitioner = Swindle, because i like how g1 it is),but cannot afford the combiners I want. So this works out good for me and I hope they make Devastator and Bruticus as well.

 

Gonna be interesting to see how Takara handles these combiners, color and mold wise.

 

Well six Constructicons with the same quality and size as Generations Scoop would be great otherwise I'd just stick with the Classics 5 piece set I already have.

 

Bruticus and Defensor are also planned?
