    Chorma,

Any plans to make the attachable "engine" into a powermaster fig? I know it would complicate things more, however, it is a curiosity inspired question.

sorry no plans at the moment though honestly i actually thought about doing it. however, i feel its redundant to be honest as one could have used a g1 hi-q figure

and the bigger reason for me ditching the idea.....i will show you once i have the bracket shipped back to me; a full engine figure will actually make prime's tummy really big if you look at him sideways and i feel that it breaks aesthetics. this is the main reason why i am aiming for a flat thin piece of engine instead in my WIP photos

I'm intrigued to see how much Hi-q turns him into Guttimus Prime

ok, other leg panel and G1 hi-q bracket are here, using god ginrai reissue hi-q/ginrai powermaster figure as test:

    and the horrible truth:

looks good from front view and perhaps an angled view, but once you get to the side.....are you guys sure this is what you really want?

this is why i opted to do just a thin piece instead, and i believe this is the main reason why xovergen gave up on doing their own powermaster figure in the end

Good enough since we will not get closer anyways ;)
So if nobody's doing it else, you certainly should :p

well im guessing myself, but if u look at their facebook page they do have a prototype of a engine thingy for classic prime cab, and its mildly mentioned in their post about godarmor

anyways, its just a pure guess myself, i dunno them personally so im unsure why it never came to fruitation

just got my black vindicator version today. my thoughts on it? abit mediocre unfortunately; backpack is unstable and is making the figure too back heavy

here are some pics with my parts on the black version, note that the new cab cover now blocks the use of my smokestacks, pity:

this is probably the first photos of the engine bracket mold too.

so what are my plans with these parts, going forward? with the uncertainty of how compatible my parts will be with godarmor, i will likely just finish off what i started and probably nothing more until i get my hands on godarmor when its released, and then re-evaluate the situation. so i will finish off these parts:

    - engine bracket (close to done)
    - G1 hi-g engine bracket (close to done)
    - wrist parts (kinda started)

i will also try to create a brace that will hold the vindicator backpack together, got a concept done already, hopefully it works as planned

Wow the powermaster panel is glorious! :D

I do have a question... instead of fully articulated hands for the cab itself, why not just make better looking fists with wrist articulation? Like my biggest gripe with classics prime's hands is the fact that they just lack definition. I mean seriously they are just basically a black square with lines on it to define "fingers", and it doesn't even have a actual thumb.

^thats a pretty good example of what I have been looking for, well defined fists with wrist swivel. :D

You could probably work in the swivel either via a balljoint or by doing kinda like hasbro did with generations/FOC grimlock and putting the actual swivel in the hand itself.

ya i can definitely just do that with only one point of rotation at the wrist, but i like to take on challenges if i can. so ya im trying to push my design limits thats all. i may come back to the fists later

Leg panels and engine set up.
Do the engine panels need the gun brackets?
Was debating tearing up a pm prime trailer.
But saw this and figured I'd ask.
I want to paint a couple sets of the panels.
And pm prime is not complete without his powermaster.

the only parts i have are:

    powermaster bracket - G1 hi-qi holder
powermaster bracket - thin molded piece
leg panels (available for sale at my shapeways store)
mini cannon brackets (avalable for sale at my shapeways store)

they all work independently and do not rely on each other

either way, let me take some final photos, and put the parts available for sale at the store, and call it a day

wont be selling the big gun holders on the shoulders though, very wobbly and unstable
