It's not rust - it's tarnish. As ralphenator says any product for dealing with tarnished metal should clean it up.

Anybody else get a Scoria with a sword that is noticably slanted to one side?

Does anybody have any experience with sealing metal parts so that they won't show that tarnish in the future? I was thinking of applying Future to my Scoria, but I don't want to if it won't help. I am also a little afraid of it messing with the look of the metal.

Got my new Slag and he is worse than the one I sent back. If the retailer would have just sent me replacement parts as I requested on my first one I wouldn't be in this mess. So frustrated between this and Jetfire. Jetfire is going back for a refund, and I have an outstanding question back to the retailer about Slag. Fucking expensive toys man.......

Yeah noticing my Scoria's horns are starting to tarnish... I mean I guess that's what it is? It feels almost like there's a film on the horns now..

What is safest to use to get rid of it and what is safest to use to prevent it?

The metal horns are a nice touch, but if they're destined to tarnish, I'd rather they just been chromed plastic.

Hey guys, if your horns are not tarnished and you want to protect them here is a little something you can do. Clean with alcohol and then spray a little high gloss clear coat on them. They come off with a screw so it would be an easy pre-fix.

Finally got mine from uncle billy. Overall solid figure. Unlike most my left shoulder is fine, the right one a little loose holding some poses. To clarify, when people reporting loose shoulder it's the bots left shoulder not the left side if we are facing it right? So far everything else pretty damn good. Sword pegs bit small, doesn't hold in hand well but can future that up. Overall pleased and glad my worry is over for this one. Now waiting on my Kronos.

Going to paint them red instead of a gloss coat but great recommendation.
