Most of the human cast just got in the way, like that daughter and her boyfriend, But I thought Cade was a human character that showed his worth. Mark is a better actor than Shia too so that works out well.

I know in general people don't want all these human characters, but I think id make Cade an exception.

 

I like him more than Sam but not so much I wouldn't want an all Transformers movie

I liked Cade I felt like I had a connection with him unlike Sam cause Cade is a struggling inventor father and Sam was just a average guy who was there but I didn't like Cade when he was overprotective to Tessa sure it was funny first but it got annoying afterwards.

 

I liked everyone. Don't know why Tessa is so annoying to some people; she's humorous in her actions and situations she gets into.

But, on the subject of the thread, Cade was a fantastic main character. He was more relatable and more worthy in combat; not just running around during the final battle. Also, his entire characterization was much more interesting than Sam's awkward dorkiness.

 

I didn't really liked Tessa when she said let's get wasted and didn't liked it when she was in the car and didn't escaped to Cade and Shane but overall she did better at acting than Rosie and Megan.

 

It's weird, because Cade on paper is not at all an interesting character. But Wahlberg makes him pretty damn likeable. I was much more interested in Optimus' or Joyce ' s arc than Cade's, but he was certainly a serviceable lead.

 

Felt Cade had more chemistry with Tessa than Shane did... it was odd watching the film and I had to constantly remind myself that he is meant to be the father - and that the film wasn't just two competing boyfriends fighting for Tessa. If it wasn't for Wahlberg then the character is a blank-slate Dad.

 

Yeah, i think casting Mark did wonders for the character, he brought life to what is usually just a typical role. I like the idea that Cade is both a great inventor and fearless fighter, a useful ally for the bots.

 

Cade,Grammar, and Joshua were the only humans that I cared about. Lucas was cool, but he died ,and almost nothing came out of it, meaning he was useless.

 

Cade's overprotective dad got a bit thin but he's got some real chemistry with Prime, I liked when the two of them had some down time together.

 

I liked Marky Mark as an actor, but I don't feel like Cade was too convincing as an inventor character. Whenever I saw anything in his workshop, all I could think was

I liked Cade a lot. His daughter was annoying and the boyfriend was ENTIRELY pointless as a character. There was so much they could have cut out of this movie and it would have been better for it, but Cade was definitely a good character that I would like to see again!

 

I felt he was a way better and relatable character than Sam. Unlike Sam, he's actually useful and motivates the Bots (him praising Bee for saving his life then pep talking optimus into believing in humans again, PLUS telling Hound to get up when he thinks he's done in battle). He really is a way better character than Sam in every way possible. Now lets just hope Tessa and Shane get more characterized in the movies. At least they weren't totally useless, with helping to take down Lockdown and all.

 

It's weird because I enjoyed the hell out of all of that. The anchor sequence is hilarious to me.
