sooo what happened? At any rate...josep.eccle deadbeat bidder, zero feedback, didn't respond to emails or invoice
He never replied again. I filed a report and submitted a second chance offer to the next highest bidder. I haven't heard anything from him, either, so I'll probably end up relisting Galvatron...
hill_country_scout Decided to sell off my Classics/Universe collection and had this guy bid up and cancel no less than about 15 different auctions and then re-bid. Guy has 172 bid retractions in 12 months, claims that's "a drop in the bucket"...I've been on ebay for 14 years and have NEVER had even one bid retraction.
greenlanternkai Another who couldn't be bothered to pay or respond to messages, and looking at recent feedback I wasn't the only one mulhofrank This one did actually reply to tell me he couldn't pay (£5.50 inc. p&p) but would once he had some money. But that was two months ago and yet in that time looking at his feedback he can come up with the money for other auctions....
I'm sorry to hear that, man. That is the worst. I just wanted to share something that I do as a seller to help avoid situations like this, and maybe it will help others out to. In all of my listings, I state that I videotape all item packaging and share that video with the buyer for the protection of both the buyer and myself as a seller regardless of if the buyer finds it necessary or not. And, I do just that. On tape, I start with saying what my ebay ID is and the Ebay ID of the person I'm shipping to. I go through each item, rotating them, zooming in, etc. to show that it's in the condition pictured, as well as each and every accessory, instruction etc. etc.. I film the entire packaging, and even put the label in front of the camera and read the name, address, tracking number, etc. etc. (I actually read through my camera's LCD to make sure it's in focus enough for the viewer to read it too.). Once everything's packaged and taped up, I normally rotate the box too so that they can see there are no holes or dings in the box itself too. I upload the video to youtube as unlisted so no one can see or search it without me sharing it with them. I send the link to the buyer through Ebay messaging so that it's able to be looked up if necessary by Ebay. It seems like a lot to do, but honestly the longest video I ever did was 25 minutes and that's because it was three MP figures and I had to transform each and package them. On the flip side, I've never had problems with buyers, because I've put them in a position to where there is no way that they can say that something wasn't included, things weren't as pictured, it wasn't shipped to the correct address, wrong tracking, etc. etc.. Ebay's becoming more and more buyer oriented while giving the shaft to the sellers that keep the site relevant every da, so it's becoming on us to protect ourselves because without that, any dispute is pretty much automatically on the buyer's side. Sorry if this came off long-winded, but I hope that it helps someone avoid situations like the above in the future.
More problems trying to sell Galvatron. The second auction ended and I got this message from the winner: hey. really sorry to do this but i forgot i even bid on this since it was days ago. n now i cant afford him at this time. if you can u can sell him to the other bidder. i apoligize for any inconveniences. and hope all goes well. j_mack_o516 At least he apologized...
Weezel47 Just a warning to you guys, DO NOT DEAL with the eBay user Weezel47. It was the worst experience I've had on ebay by far. He bought a TFTM Stealth BB from me, and it went down hill from there. I admittingly shipped it out late, I apologized and explained my situation (new job with long hours every single day even on saturdays) and had difficulty getting to the post office. He still started a dispute and opened a case against me for an unsent item. I sent it out right after (which was my first day off in a while) and told him I would not be dealing with him anymore in the future, he was extremely rude and impersonal in every single email. and he still left me bad feedback and said I was rude to him, which is insane. Look at his feedback to see that I'm right. Please add this jerk to your block list guys!
Uniquetreasurefreak Buys items then claims they are damaged to get partial refund. I think he has a lot of items uses damaged packages for pictures on ebay.
sundaypin thorwm1973 Both of the above users did not pay for their auctions and they refused to respond to any correspondence.
Suggest blocking - meeksonater Only 80 purchases, so doesn't buy much, but left a neutral rating (which is same as a negative to a top rated seller) for no reason and would not respond to my question on the problem with the order. Item was MIB, wrapped in plastic, and shipped out in a brand new box. Finally, after a month he got back to me, well beyond the grace period where the Neutral could be over turned and said a wheel fell off the item when he opened it. Not sure if that means it was broken, or just popped off. Nothing I could do about it though due to complete lack of communication. Block him and save yourself the hassle guys.
lgmproductions finally responded after a week, said sorry for getting back so late, and still didn't pay.
Be careful of eBay user RonnySavage84. I sent him an MGS-03 Hound upgrade kit that was missing some parts (turned out I had sent the wrong box by mistake). I refunded him right away thinking that that was the only MISB kit I had. Told him to keep the kit. However, I later looked through my closet and found the MISB one that I was supposed to send him. Because it was my mistake, I offered to send him the MISB one and said he could pay me back when he got it. We both agreed to this, but after receiving the item, he never paid me. I have all the email exchanges between us, as well as receipts and tracking numbers for the delivered packages...last package arrived on 7/24, and he has ignored 2 emails and 1 voicemail message sent to him since.
Updated my post above regarding RonnySavage84. I had given him the benefit of the doubt earlier, but it turns out he lived down to my expectations. He's took my items without paying.
kaliaticus He purchased a set of 24 G1 Minispies from me which was listed as "TRANSFORMERS G1 Minispy Mini Spy Minispies Yellow Blue White Complete 24 RARE". When he received them he opened a case against me complaining I misrepresented the auction because there are actually 48 different minispies that make a complete set and he wanted a partial refund. I refused because the auction was for 24 minispies and he received the 24 minispies pictured, all different and unique from each other making a complete set. I told him to just send them back and I would refund his money if he wasn't happy. He mailed me back a box of broken parts (some gobots and a broken megatron painted gold) and of course PayPal refunded his money because he provided a tracking number. To add insult to injury he left me negative feedback, which is the only negative feedback I have had during my 700+ transactions and 15 years being on eBay. This is not a trustworthy person, I do not suggest you purchase from or sell anything to them.
Trust me, I did. I opened a dispute and despite my repeated attempts to get them to help they ultimately did nothing. I even provided pictures of the box he sent with his address and what was in it when I opened it.
Have you tried calling them? I was able to get through to someone a while back, but by the time I did it was "too late."
No, I never tried that. I didn't even know they had a phone number Its probably too late by now. Good info for the future though, thanks.
