I have all 24 US release Alternators but I am curious regarding Smokescreen.

I know the Binaltech version came numbered in #8 and #7. Did the US Alternators line ever get the #7 variant of this bot or did Hasbro only do the one version?

The reason I ask is if they did then if I am to have a truly complete collection AI need to track down this infamous #7 to go alongside the other 3 Subaru's on the shelf.

Hasbro has no variants in the Alternators line, unless you count the few that got released in two different types of boxes.

Cool Thanks for the quick response. This has been driving me nuts trying to research this for a while now.

Guess all I need to do now is track down Ravage and Rumble when they finally hit the States and maybe get the few Binaltech only bots to have afully complete line of bots.

no problem. I want to get those BT-only as well, but my want list, and income are quite disparate.

    Bzzzt, wrong answer!

We do have one Alternator variant, Silverstreak's left and right side steering wheels. I saw a right-side one in a store and still regret not getting it...

Totally understand that one Redline. Although I think I am going to skip getting the new Black Convoy. He has far too much grey plastic and less paint than the Nemesis Prime I already have to really justify buying th e BT duplicate.

Hasbro intended to do the number variants on Smokescreen but it never came to pass.

Omegus you're right about Silverstreak having a variant, but he's not the only one. Bubble box Prowl has paint aps that are missing on red box Prowl.

Really? I have the red box version, I never heard about any missing paint aps. Know where there's any pics?

that's the bubble box version. The red box version doesnt have "Acura" or "RSX" written on it, and the little red light in the middle isnt painted

There's also Smokescreen GT #1 and #2 for BT. I like the GT incarnation a lot.

    Ebay:
And they're a Bugger to find too. This is the last one I need to finish up my BT collection and I 'm having no luck. Not even on Ebay.

I hear ya, I've been looking for one as well. My wife loves the Subaru WRX, I got her a model that pretty much matches Smokescreen GT, so ever since I've been looking for a Smokescreen GT to display beside the model. But no luck, unless I want to pay a fortune for it.

I want Black Convoy, not only is he sexy, but with a simple head swap he's make for a really good Motormaster with all that grey on him... and you wouldn't have to alter anything on him to hurt his value either.

I wish the US version was done as well as Black Convoy... with the tall shoulder kibble he already reminded me of Laser Optimus and I was hoping he'd be more like RiD Scourge.

I am amused that it was Hasbro that did the all-black toy and Takara did the direct homage...
