Say what you will... think what you will... whatever gets you through the cold dark night to the comforts that come with the breaking dawn of light... AoE just wasn't as good as the others. IMHO. And I'm a Bay fan and movieverse fan. But I'll just have to be content with my bowl of sour grapes.
wow.. i don't see how that is possible.. AT ALL. aoe was far superior than the other three in every single way. better characters, cool designs, interesting story, bounty hunters, a better human cast, more robot to robot interaction, dinobots, a better ending.. i could go on.. i just don't see how the other three hold a candle to this.
cool designs is an opinion and dinobots were barely in it... I could go on...I just don't see how this one can hold a candle compared to the other three.
I can see how people can argue about this being on par/better than 2007's Transformers movie, but not ROTF and DOTM. AOE's story is a bit more solid and especially character development from the robots is definitely something we've barely seen in the ROTF and DOTM. Your opinion is respected and this is mine.
It's possible, and no, it wasn't superior in every single way. I wish it had been. I was expecting it to be. But no.
Psssst... It's a movie discussion thread. This thread and link discussing it are about the movie. Just pointing out the obvious. Getting that out the way... I also said regardless of people's take on AOE or any of the others, you have the haters out there that wish these movies never happened at all. Kind of how I feel about chick flicks... Many are absolutely worthless and wish many were never produced. But, do they produce them? Yep...
Sorry but I have to disagree with some of that. - Story was interesting at first but it was drawn out and eventually got off track about half through due to poor writing. - I can live through Tessa being annoying but Shane had no purpose besides driving the rally car. - Agree with you on Robot Interaction & I liked all of the new designs expect Primes I was meh about. - Dinobots come out no where and were barely in it, not even mentioned until last 20 minutes. Don't even talk and aren't called by name or dinobot. - Ending........the Lockdown vs Prime battle was great but where did he learn to fly????? I agree that AOE was better than ROTF & maybe even DOTM but not close to TF '07.
I saw TF07, and I loved it. I saw RoTF, and I was indifferent to it. I saw DoTM, and I liked it. I did not see AoE, and I have no intention to, ever.

That wasn't flying. That was falling with style. Just enjoy what you enjoy. Stop worrying about what other people think of it as ultimately it's not that big a deal. You could take your own advice and just simply ignore the critics if you're tired of reading them. You say you're going to watch the movies anyway so I really don't see the issue here apart from you're a bit steamed that some people hold a different opinion to yourself. Just shrug and go 'whatever', otherwise all it leads to is people making threads like these and airing their own sour grapes.
If you liked TF and DotM and were indifferent to the piece of shit that is RotF, why wouldn't you see AoE?
